to clarify

Sorry everybody, I wasn't exactly clear in my previous post about what my plans actually were.  As you can see, my decision about whether to stay in Korea or go home turned into a decision about whether to stay at my school or not.  And I decided not to stay at my school, as you read in the letter to my boss.

However.....I have decided to stay in Korea.  Why?  Because my life here rocks.  Yes, the food is a bit rough, it's hard to communicate sometimes, and I get homesick.  But on the other hand, I have a job that I enjoy and that pays fairly well.  I get a free apartment no matter what school I work at.  I get to sleep in every day, and I only work six hours a day, teaching 40 minute classes, so there's a lot of variety and I don't get bored (very often, heh).    There are convenience stores on every corner that tend to be open 24 hours, and this is really nice.  I can speak my mind and not worry about people overhearing me.  I have a good group of friends to hang out with here.  (But you guys at home know that I still love you and miss you like crazy!!!!)  I have interesting, random experiences every day.

I'm not trying to brag about my life here, far from it.  I'm just trying to help people understand why I'm staying in Korea, because I know that some people are wondering, "what the hell is she thinking?"  Basically, I just like my life here and I'm not ready to give it up yet.

But.....before I find a different school in a better location and sign on for another year, I'm coming home for a month in the summer!!!  Approximate dates are July 28 - Aug 26.  So clear your calendars, cause KJen will be back in the States for a limited time only!!  lol.  Seriously though, I want to see as many of my friends as possible.  Pittsburgh people especially let me know what dates are good for you cause I'm gonna make a special trip for you folks, hehe.  And get ready to watch a lot of movies!!!  I seriously plan on watching one movie every day while I'm at home, cause I need to recover the ground that I lost this year, hehe.

I really am pumped to come home for a visit.  Even though my daily life in Korea is great, there is absolutely no replacement for my family and friends at home.  There's also no replacement for the natural chicken burger and french fries at red robin's, lol.  But seriously, I hope all of you guys know how much I miss you, cause I really do.    I also appreciate everyone being here for me all year and helping me through the rough patches.  I couldn't have gotten to this point without your support.

Anyway, I can't think of a good way to end this post, so.....peace out, homies.
