AMAZING WEEKEND
So this weekend rocked. Sunday was probably the best day I've had in Korea so far. Briana and a bunch of her friends came down from Seoul to spend the weekend over here. Read on for more.
Friday night: Went to meet everyone near Haeundae. Had a laid back night at a bar. I played darts and totally rocked! It was good. On the way back, everyone was jumping on each other's backs, including mine! And I failed miserably at carrying anybody for more than two steps, lol. Stayed at the hotel with everybody and actually got my ass up for....
Saturday: Kind of sucked cause I had to get up and go to my Korean lesson, and then work from 3-9. Blah. But I made it through, and then it was back to Haeundae, and then to Kyungsung Dae for some clubbing! I ran into a lot of my Busan friends there, and that was fun. Bri, Hugh, and I went to a hip hop club and just danced our asses off. I was a bit drunk this night as well, heh. But this cannot compare to.....
SUNDAY: Got up and hit McDonald's. I mentioned that this was the first time I had been to mcdonald's in a couple months. A memorable quote comes in here, when Lubos said, "this is the first time I've been to mcdonald's in 24 hours." lol! And it was true! That guy went to mcdonald's at least 5 times in 3 days, heh. Anyway, we ate our food, and somehow I got the nickname of PT, for Pusan Trash, haha. After that, we took a big group shot in front of mcdonald's.....and then walked across the street to the beach, haha.
The beach was amazing!!! It was such a beautiful day; we all took off our shoes and our coats and just chilled in our t-shirts. And then of course, people started acting like fools and wrestling each other into the water.
And soon enough, lubos picked me up, carried me a few feet into the water, and dropped me right in!!!!
I was soaking wet and had to change out of my jeans. The only other pants I had were pajama pants, so I ended up wearing those the rest of the day!
Anyway, after this, we were all hanging out and talking, and started playing a game called mafia, which was really fun, but I don't really feel like explaining it here. We also gave ourselves nicknames based on the cast of 90210. haha. (I ended up being Donna). Then bri, hugh, jay, and I walked across the beach and over to this lighthouse. The lighthouse turned out to be a piece of shit, but it was a beautiful walk over. On the way back, we bought a kite for $4 and flew it. It was so much fun! I went for dinner with bri and hugh, saw them off, and then went back to hang out with some of the other people who were left.
We ended up going to trivia night, which was fun cause we didn't take it too seriously. We were actually playing cards while it was going on, hehe. Finally, we headed back to the hotel. Memorable quote: "One was American. One was Canadian. I was the border."
So anyway, i went to mcdonald's again the next day ("first time in twelve hours"), and then hauled ass in a cab to get back to my side of town and go to work. It was such an awesome weekend. But as it usually happens when i'm having an awesome time, i got so caught up in the moment and forgot to take any pictures. Hopefully other people will send me some (as bri already did -- thanks!) so I can remember this time. I'm so grateful when I have days like these to look back on.
