Lately, I've been watching a ton of documentaries...

Like, Right America: Feeling Wronged and various Michael Moore movies.

First off, I thought Right America was really well done. Sure, you can say not all people in the south are racist like those guys, but that doesn't change the fact that there are people like that. Sure, there were these two guys that made a good point that NY is just as racist as Mississippi (can't believe I spelled that right ^o^), but still. There was this one guy who didn't believe women should be allowed to vote.

Can you believe that?! And he said something to the effect that since America would get either a black president or a female vice-president that they were "screwed either way"! That's nuts!

As for Michael Moore movies, I am eagerly awaiting the release of Capitalism: A Love Story. It looks really promising ^_^. But since I can sit through CNN and various American news programs, I guess I can enjoy anything, really ^^;
I really like Sicko. I thought it was really well done, and it was really informative. It kind of makes me glad I live in Canada, and I kind of wish I lived in Britain, because drugs are so cheap. I wonder if that would apply to EpiPens? Because they're around $100 dollars here, according to my parents.

The thing about there being amazingly long waiting lists in Canada is sad, but true. And the recession is now making everything worse. But it's still better than being denied care. I think it's kind of wrong for the politicians to glorify their health care system if so many people are unable to benefit from it. Even though Sicko was released back in 2007, I don't think there's been a whole ton of change, because people are protesting at town hall meetings and making a big stink about not wanting government-run health care. I can't see why they're so paranoid about that. Wouldn't it be better if the government controlled health care, rather than corporations that merely want to make a profit and give bonuses to people that deny people care? Besides, according to Bowling for Columbine, there are so many American families with guns, if the US government actually pulled something, they could storm the White House or something LOL.

I'm kind of in the mood to do rants on health care and gun laws now, (LOL), but not in the mood to do in-depth research.

movies/dramas, rant
