Books you should read if you want to take the English Lit AP Exam

I've just been going through some of the sample exams, and these are some of the ones that come up more often....

-King Lear/Macbeth/Hamlet/Othello (Just lump 'em in together! ^_^ They all have some sort of purpose!)
-A Midsummer Night's Dream (oddly enough)
-David Copperfield/Great Expectations (Charles Dickens is expected, of course.)
-The Colour Purple
-Crime and Punishment/The Brothers Karamazov (I really SHOULD have finished reading Brothers....-_-)
-1984
-Death of a Salesman/The Crucible (Arthur Miller is IMPORTANT)
-American Pastoral
-Jude the Obscure
-Anna Karenina
-Frankenstein
-The Handmaid's Tale (a Canadian on an AMERICAN syllabus? Hell yeah.)
-The Great Gatsby
-Rozencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (That was a really...weird movie.)
-Wuthering Heights
-The Kite Runner

Interesting titles to see were: Slaughterhouse Five, Pygmalion, Obasan (which shows up a lot more, actually...), The Joy Luck Club...on that note, why is Oryx and Crake not on here? And then Pride and Prejudice only comes up once or twice, as does Jane Eyre T_T

...

Okay, I REALLY need to look over more sample essays now. Here's hoping I don't get a four or lower on an essay -_-
That being said, I'd LOVE a four on the exam. Just saying :D
