The trouble is, I was "born" at thirteen, and dropped right into the most cringeworthy years of my life. So what did I used to love

Yeah, it looked pretty snappy, but that spandex is sooo not practical.

Is spandex hard to wash then? Can't you just sort of push the dirt off them with your tactile telekinetic whatsit?

It's not hard to wash, it just gets all faded and wrinkly and rides up and...

Look, I just prefer the t-shirt, okay?

There's nothing wrong with that! It's a simple, elegant statement, and, also, it totally saves you having to change in and out of civilian clothes all the time! You can just cross your arms so no-one can see the shield and da-dah!
