I changed the setting last week to allow all members to post, but even though that's still what it's showing to me, looks like something went wrong and it didn't give posting access to anybody! So I just manually gave all the current members individual posting access. Hmmmm. I may have to open a support request, because that's not right.

I really have the strangest songs that remind me of characters! For me, the one that invariably makes me think of Kon is Rise Against - Help Is on the Way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaVLq0Xwj3U I know it's actually about humanitarian efforts in the wake of natural and man-mande disasters and tragedies, but I just can't help the association! The opening lines go "I have my mother's dreams, I have my father's eyes, you can't take that from me, just go ahead and try". In my headcanon, Kon has green eyes, because since he's not genetically identical to Superman, he shouldn't look exactly like him either (and sometimes artists do make them look distinct, even for example making Kon's nose or eyebrows or such more closely resemble Luthor's than Superman's, making it very clear that Clark is Kon's dad, without implying that he is actually a clone (calling him a clone annoys me, he's a hybrid - or biracial, if you think Kryptonians and Earthlings should

Omg I had to read this because my headcanon was jumping out at me.
From the 'clone' issue (*twitch* not. a. clone. Made with cloning technology, sure. But not a clone).
And Kon's X - from Clark & Kon's Y - from Luthor and Kon having Luthor's features and and and

Haven't you heard? I'm a mind-reader. ;P j/k, guess great minds think alike, haha. I appreciate your enthusiasm. When I eventually write fic with Kon in it, it will reflect my views on the character (hopefully I won't get too bogged down by the details to get his character right, OMG).

I hate hate hate when Kon gets called a clone after it is known in canon that he is a human Kryptonian hybrid, regardless of who is his human genetic donor. Unless the general public, including the supervillains (and even superheroes who he doesn't work with regularly) still think they are genetically identical. Which, as he gets older, it should become clear is not the case. Even if he was grown in a tube meant for a clone, that doesn't mean he is one. I mean, it looks like the bacta tank Luke got dumped in in Star Wars after he almost froze to death in Ep.5; does that make him a clone? I think not. >_And the X vs. Y thing... they want the being they're making to have as many Kryptonian characteristics, power-wise and physiologically (not

But actually ON topic of music for Kon;
My go-to Kon song has always been 'Let it Rock - Kevin Rudolph & Lil' Wayne'

I also associate 'This Boy's In Love - The Presets' with Kon as well, not only because it's a very dance-genre song, because Kon loves to party *g*, but also because of how fast and how hard Kon falls for the women in his life; From Knockout to Tana to Cassie.

Lastly and most recently, 'Fuckin' Perfect - Pink' has made me think of Kon most of all, because of the way he's had to deal with people at him, criticizing him and generally tossing crap his way right from the get-go. And the way he's dealing with his issues as well.

I'm sorry about the comment-hijacking, too! *sheepish grin* I don't know those first two songs, but the third one... I've never really associated it with Kon previously, but OMG it fits.
