Haven't you heard? I'm a mind-reader. ;P j/k, guess great minds think alike, haha. I appreciate your enthusiasm. When I eventually write fic with Kon in it, it will reflect my views on the character (hopefully I won't get too bogged down by the details to get his character right, OMG).

I hate hate hate when Kon gets called a clone after it is known in canon that he is a human Kryptonian hybrid, regardless of who is his human genetic donor. Unless the general public, including the supervillains (and even superheroes who he doesn't work with regularly) still think they are genetically identical. Which, as he gets older, it should become clear is not the case. Even if he was grown in a tube meant for a clone, that doesn't mean he is one. I mean, it looks like the bacta tank Luke got dumped in in Star Wars after he almost froze to death in Ep.5; does that make him a clone? I think not. >_<

And the X vs. Y thing... they want the being they're making to have as many Kryptonian characteristics, power-wise and physiologically (not necessarily in terms simple physical traits like eye color, LOL, as long as they aren't tied to him being Super) as possible, right? If the powers have a mitochondrial aspect to fuel them, of course they use Supes' mitochondria and other organelles. Everyone has to have an X chromosome, so of course it should be Kryptonian. But to keep the genetic balance right, so the resulting genetic structure is stable, well, just grab the human donor's Y chromosome and toss it in. (And this is why Kon *has* to have two daddies, logistically speaking. Because Superman has to be his biological mother for things to work right. If they used Wonder Woman's DNA, for an example the scientists would think of before Lois, Kon would have the *genetic equivalent* of two mommies, regardless of the actual sex of the persons involved, which means he'd *have* to be a she, which means they can't pass her off as an outright clone. I bet in the gender-bender alternate universe in 52, their Kon is Claire and Louis Kent-Lane's biological daughter, conceived without the aid of reproductive technology. And her name is Constance, Connie for short. And she has Louis's purple eyes.)
