Keepin' On...

Almost let myself go a week without posting anything. If nobody has realized it, I'm getting myself back into the blogging mood. I remember loving writing out entries so much and I still do. So since last Tuesday I want to claim I've been busy and while I've been doing several things I don't feel like I've done very much and definitely not enough to satisfy my productive brain.
Work this week was cut short by about 6 hours (2 hours a day Wed-Fri), so I did get some extra time to enjoy myself that I usually don't have. Worked out great on Wednesday because my newest doll arrived so I got to go over to the parents place to get her and even some time to play with her before the husband got home (and before he left again since he's been going to some gaming thing at a local comic shop on Wednesday nights). Got in some of the Lolita stuff I was waiting for. One skirt I love but don't have a top that goes with it at all, one blouse that did not fit (too tight), and then the Body Line order that I love everything because it all fits well and comfortably. Still waiting for a package coming from Europe and still waiting for my order from TaoBao. Went to see the little sister Wednesday night because I had a CD for her that was the other half of her birthday present. Oh yes by the way this week I also got Versailles' new single Philia. We watched the PV and the live footage and giggled the evening away and it was fun.

Friday night Logan and I went out to eat with my parents and one of the new places in town, Panyu's. It's chinese & thai food and my overall opinion is thus: Not the best bang for your buck. Definitely plenty of places to get food just as delicious for better pricing. However the food is delicious and the sushi rolls were exceptionally delicious (considering I'm generally NOT a fan of rolls). The presentation of the plated entrees was also very well done. You're paying a lot for atmosphere which is really nice and great, and also the to go boxes are easily reusable plastic containers. Only issue was that my parents got their food and one plate was cold and the other was luke-warm. Logan's was nice and hot and mine was perfect temperature to dig right in. I think they need to take a page out of the real Asian run restaurants and serve the food as it's ready as apposed to waiting for it all to be done, which is a very American style and concept I've realized over the last matter of years. Especially considering one of the recent restaurant ordinances that went into effect in which if something gets sent back to the kitchen it has to be trashed and a complete new plate of food must be made. Overall I say it's a really great date spot or if you go on one of the special nights where it's a $16 all you can eat sushi rolls if that's your thing. I think we will definitely go back when we have the little extra cash and feel like dining in superficial atmosphere vs the warehouse feel like that our favorite similar place, Genroku, has.

Yesterday was very lazy, with exception that I got some cosplay work and a little bit of knitting done. I also made dinner (nothing hard, just ravioli and meatballs from the freezer). I have to note that I made dinner because I never jump into the kitchen with the intent of making something for both myself and the husband. We watched a good chunk of anime (mostly black butler) and I played a little bit of my new wii game, Shattered Dreams.... really different and neat, sort of eerie, but neat. I did actually simply have to have it though for the BL factor...it's got a not super underlying, but not overly predominant shonen ai bit to the story.

Getting ready for a doll meet today. Deciding who and what to bring since this is a knitting/crochet themed/based meetup. I'm just looking forward to seeing friends...I think it's been nearly a month...
