Last night I spent the evening going through everything I've bought for the trip, putting it in my (now sewed-up) backpack, and making a list of everything I still need.

I leave for California on Wednesday, September 12th early early in the morning. Then I get to enjoy 12 days with my family, friends, and boyfriend before leaving for Bangkok. Most of my friends, my boyfriend, and my brother will be leaving for school between the time I get to California and the time I leave for Bangkok, so I'll be saying my goodbyes throughout my stay. As for saying my goodbyes in Seattle, I've been trying to "make the rounds," so to speak. It's been hard to say bye to a lot of people up here, because I've got so many things to do between Friday and Wednesday (one of which is packing up ALL of my things to move and store while I'm gone). Really, I know I'm only gone for 3 months, a single quarter, so it's not as though I'm saying my last goodbye to anyone... It's just something I feel like I really should be doing. I think of Michaela Farnum, God rest her soul, and if something like that were to happen to me, I would just hate for the people I love to feel as though they never got a chance to have... closure.
So! That's what I've been doing. Until next time,
Jenn
