Go on then, let's make it a LJ Hatrick.

LJ Interests meme results

  1. bad guys:
Because fictional villains doth rock. Well, the good ones anyway. I mean, look at the bad guy in Tomb Raider - what kind of villainy d'ya call that? Pft! Go get yourself a scheme, a costume theme, and some twirly moustache or something.
The enjoyable ones are funny and charming, but villainous enough for you to want to see them punished (Ooh. Er.) at the end.
I always ended up as the bad guy in the playground. Even though I was a girl. Hmm.
  2. brittas empire:
Does the word 'UNDERRATED' still apply? I think it does muchly. Take a really simple concept, add great characters and voila you've got yourself a 7-series Brit slapstick sitcom of the finest calibre. Well, Series 5 onward was a bit shaky, but the first four are comedy gold.
Plus it's got Chris Barrie, who's very lovely in real life. Wow, I can say that now and actually know it's true. *almost smug*
  3. dreams:
"...can come true". No wait, I hate that song.
Dreams are this = fab. It's wonderful to be able to pack up normal life at the end of the day and enter some completely random alternate universe. Especially my subconscious, which is obviously a very strange and insane thing indeed.
The Kerazy Celebrity Dreams (http://www.livejournal.com/users/kolaqube/tag/celebrity_dreams) take prominence of course, in which I've been able to do a whole variety of things ... with a whole variety of people.
And let's not forget my subconscious' Daddy Issues, some of which are just plain Weird with a Capital WEEE.
  4. garbage:
    I love rubbish, me.
No obviously this refers to the band Garbage, who are indeed excellent. I own three albums, none of which are disappointing and even have covers that are Teh Pretteh. Favourite track? Maybe....Milk. Or Vow. Or Nobody Loves You. Or Queer. Or The World is Not Enough. Or The Trick Is To Keep Breathing. Or....
  5. indiana jones:
AND YOU'RE ASKING WHY? The Fedora. The whip (Ooh. Er.). The professor/action hero duality. The slightly phallic fear of snakes. With Harrison Ford in the middle. T'is done.
  6. league of gentlemen:
Do you know, I wasn't remotely impressed when I first saw the trailer for this. But then I was watching A Prince Among Men that night, what do I know.
But something rather strange and Royston Vasey-esque happened. I watched it and loved it. The very British humour, the old horror movie references, the fact that Royston Vasey looks exactly like where I live, good old drag, the squabbling between Iris and Judee, the genius that is the character of Pauline, and the fact that Reece Shearsmith looks better in a miniskirt than a man has any right to.
    You're my wife now.
  7. peep show:
And another recent TV show I actually like! I knew I'd like Peep Show before I'd even seen it. I couldn't watch Series 1 when it aired due to crappy circumstances, but cut out all the reviews from Heat magazine all the same.
The idea's so simple, I'm surprised other shows haven't used the POV-throughout technique too.
Plus David Mitchell's eyes have some strange hypnotic effect on me. This is unexplainable.
  8. robert bathurst:
*Oh go on, gratuitous icon alert*
You want me to sum this one up? Er, lessee. Talented actor, intelligent man, lovely father, the blue eyes, the what-colour-is-it-really? hair, the droll sense of humour, the velvetly voice, the fact that he stars in everything I like and....er....*points at icon*.
  9. the killers:
An album that I stick on and instantly love Every Single Track? That's Hot Fuss, that is. The Killers came along in that recent wave of new bands who have an 80s vibe and that's what I love about them. Somebody Told Me makes me shake my stuff. Everything Will Be Alright brings a lump to my throat.
Plus Brandon Flowers has the greatest frontman name ever, next to Dick Valentine.
  10. x-files:
This'll be a case for Mul-deh and Sculllleeeeeeee.
The X-Files. The only Big Huge American Series I ever considered myself a true fangirl of. Mind you, it was still a non-mainstream cult thing when I first saw it.
I was a major Paranormal nerd when it started, so it was just my thing (and that I Want to Believe poster still lurks in my room, it does). Mulder was my spokesman. But I wasn't sure who I fancied most, David Duchovny or Gillian Anderson.
Admittedly, I left it when they did, being yet another Disgruntled Fan. But came back for the end, aw.
    Greatest episode = Syzergy.
