ARGH. Mah Jong is hideously hard and addictive - the heroin of card games. Especially when you combine it with a certain 90s Moffat penned sitcom which funnily enough both series of are now available on DVD with all the trimmings.

And, after that unexpected advertising, now it's time for another meme, lightly snaffled from
davidbrider.

ABOUT YOU / YOUR JOURNAL

1. What is your LiveJournal username? How did you come up with it?
Kolaqube. Well, technically I took the name from one of my cartoon characters I used to draw in sixth form. Well, I gave it her anyway so pfft. I used to like punny names and cola cubes (and RILLEE BAAD SPELINGZ), and I think you can work out the rest.

2. Have you renamed before? If so, what were your old names? If you haven't renamed, what names would you want to rename to?
Quite happy with it, actually. It's... me.

3. How much does your userinfo say about you?
I don't know, really. It's quite basic really, but does it tell you ALLLLLL you need to know? If so, I suppose that's quite worrying.

4. How long have you been on LiveJournal?
Since 2004. Before that I was blogging on Mindsay (LOZ LOLZ ROTFLMAO Oh dear). It's been a long time!

5. What is the longest amount of time you've gone without posting?
I think it was about six weeks, because my computer gave up and died. Bad times, bad times. I usually have a few days gap, unless I'm completely disenchanted with LJ and life, in which case it's longer. If you miss me, poke me, I *will* post.

6. On average, how many entries do you post per day? (Divide how many total entries you have by how many days you've been on LJ.)
620 entries. 1460 days.
0.4 entries. My maths *could* be wrong, but that means I post a snifter of an entry every day.

7. What are your posts normally about?
All sorts of rubbish. I very rarely blog like I'd write in my diary - and when I do, they're mostly private posts because you would *not* want to read them. I tend to fangirl, post about whatever crazyness I've dreamt, general observations, the occasional meme, and a little bit of life angst thrown in. Who this appeals to, I don't know.

8. Is your LiveJournal friends only? Why or why not?
As of the moment, mostly no, although I'm toying with the idea because there are important people lurking around my websites. I'm usually public, although more personal entries that involve other people  - famous or otherwise - are F-locked for their benefit and mine. You never know.

9. Does your LiveJournal have an actual title or are you merely USER @ LiveJournal?
LMAO, it's still '...computer says no.' isn't it? I'm not even a major Little Britain fan or anything, I just happen to, er, identify with that sketch. I wanted something short and humorous, and yeah.

10. How long do you see yourself staying on LiveJournal?
FOREVURRRRRRRRRRRRR. Or at least, I thought about leaving when everyone else appeared to bugger off. But even when communities are dead, Flist don't update, I'm being unfriended and I have no comments, I quite clearly love LJ too much to leave. So, nice try - I'MA STAYING.

ABOUT YOUR FRIENDSLIST

11. How many people are on your friendslist, not counting private journals, media journals, etc?
33, excluding myself. I suppose it's less when you take into account some are the same people.

12. Why do you choose to add a person to your friendslist?
Generally because I've found them through a shared (obscure) interest and because I find them and their journal interesting. Good sense of humour always helps too. Quite straightforward.

13. Is your friendslist an actual list of people you consider friends, or more of a reading list?
Some I don't know very well, and I've only ever met two in person, but I take the 'friends' term pretty literally.

14. How often do you read your friendslist?
Couple of times a day, I think, on average.

15. Do you use filters when viewing your friendslist?
Only when I've been away for ages, because the personal journals take priority over communities. I used to be a member of extremely busy communities, but not so anymore.

16. How much do you talk to people on your friendslist off of LiveJournal?
As often as they'll let me!
I meant that jokingly but on reflection I haven't exactly had a conversation with anyone LJ recently for the last few weeks. So..... FAIL.

17. Do you do friendscuts? Why or why not?
No. It's a very wanky thing to do. "Oh!" - here I'm doing Sarcastic!Minka from Hut 33, which will lose everyone - "Look at me and my extensive friendslist! I've got so many friends I can't cope and will have to lose some!". Don't bother friending people in the first place if you can't be bothered to keep up. Actually, that applies quite nicely to real life, doesn't it? Yeah.

18. Do you regularly participate in friending memes? If not, how do you normally find people to friend?
I don't really come across them much, to be honest. But I'm always on the lookout for new blood. I generally sniff around communities and friends of friends until something catches my eye. Having said that, a huge majority of my Flist I already knew elsewhere through fandom.

19. How often do you add new friends to your friendslist?
Quite.... infrequently.

20. Do your friends have to have things in common with you?
Well, it certainly helps. What would we talk about?

ABOUT YOUR ICONS / USERPICS

21. How many userpics do you get maximum? How many of those slots do you actually use?
49 out of 107. Yes, I recently bit the bullet and bought some more for a while, get me. I was fed up of having to lose some. I think they get fairly equal useage apart from my more serious ones because I obviously prefer the silly ones.

22. Do you mostly use icons made by yourself or by others?
They're usually by me, but now I've got space to add some by others.

23. Do you have your own icon community? How often do you post in it?
No. I do have a huge backlog of fandom icons I've made over the years - the usual suspects, but I doubt anyone would be interested. If you are, I'll post them but I see no need for a community.

24. What fandoms are most frequently seen in your userpics?
Well, they're mostly of a Bobbeh flavoured nature, aren't they? With a little bit of Red Dwarf and a Certain Music Video Set in a Diner. I think I need more Franz, Chris Barrie and Cold Feet ones. Oh yeah, and women. In general.

25. How do you find icons to use?
Just usually when a particular picture takes my fancy then I'll iconise it. Haven't done anything particularly fancy for a while in that department.

26. How often do you upload new icons to use in your userpics?
Now and again, when I've just made one, or there's a gap for something. There's always a gap. There was a Bobbeh3 shaped gap for bloody ages.

27. Which of your userpics do you use the most?
Probably my default, which is well over two years old now. Let's face it, you're not going to find Todhunter/Hollister slash elsewhere in a hurry, are you?

28. Which of your userpics do you like the most?
I love them all equally, yeah.

29. The old minimum number of userpics was three. Could you see yourself "surviving" on three userpics now?
I couldn't then, really. NIGHTMARE.

30. What do your userpics say about you?
Probably that I'm far too obsessed with posh totty, manlove and bad spelling. And just that little bit odd.

ABOUT YOUR FANDOMS

31. How many fandom communities are you a part of?
Depends what you class as fandom, I suppose. There's John Barrowman, Stephen Fry, Red Dwarf, Mighty Boosh, Brittas, Cold Feet (OH LOOK THAT ONE'S MINE), Eddie Izzard, Franz Ferdinand (so many communities gone *sniff*), Doctor Who, Life On Mars, Rowan Atkinson, Peep Show, Morrissey, Have I Got News For You, and League of Gentlemen.

The rest is just general comedy stuff, writing communities, Japanese fashion culture, and pervery.

32. Do you join fanfic or icon communities or only the general communities?
I have for Red Dwarf, but usually my fandoms are just *too* obscure for all that. And they only comprise of me.

33. How many fandom communities do you moderate?
Just the one - Cold Feet Fans. I think I'll resurrect it soon, but it'll probably just be me posting. *IF* i set it up five years ago, it would be a completely different story.

34. How often do you check fandom communities for new posts?
Same time as my Flist.

35. Do you contribute to fandom? If so, by way of what?
Like I said, most of the stuff I'm into is too obscure these days - I end up fangirling on my own. But I have done the general fanfic and icons stuff.

36. Which fandoms are you most active in?
Red Dwarf and Life On Mars, really. And a bit of Franz from time to time. Bobbehs apparently don't count.

37. What do your choice of fandoms say about you?
*shrugs*

38. Do you make friends based on fandom?
Usually. It's nice to hear someone *else* fangirl for a change with you.

39. Have you ever read (or been featured on) fandom_wank?
Yes.... and hopefully not.

40. What is one thing you wish you could change about fandom?
Just all the Wankdrama that comes with it I guess. Some people take everything too seriously.

Ye Gods, that was longer than I thought.
