*hitting head on desk*
This is totally ridiculous. It's like my journal went into comatose or something. I guess that's what happens when your parents stay for a month (right after finals and graduation) and do nothing but shop every single day and leave you to find a job, something i could have done during the time they stayed, but meh family comes first. This explains why i'm still dead even after my parents have left. *hides*
I wonder if this is going to be awkward...maybe i'll just start with community posts lol. Speaking of which, I'm glad the Slayers fanbook has a pretty long deadline because I was considering dropping out when the month of July was coming close and I had nothing to contribute yet. Then, I have commissions to finish. Oh well, an update's better than dead useless space. *facepalm*
Things that have happened since my graduation:
- got (enhanced) driver's license, but i need more practice driving at night --> this one is pretty cool since I can use it instead of a passport when i go to Canada
- found temporary job at Cutco (awesome kitchen products) but hopefully i'll get a REAL job soon
- got a brand new BW laser printer
- finally went to Portland, Oregon for the first time (tax free is so nice)
- used my remaining school insurance to get me my very first glasses. LOL i look really weird. (grade isn't that high, about .75)
- started reading "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" by Rick Riordan (awesoooooome series. waiting for the last volume to be in paperback XD)
- finally cleaned out useless books and junk mail out of my shelves
- still waiting for my diploma to arrive
- forgot to pre-register for the coming AnimeEvolution con LOL (at least i can still submit something for the mascot contest)
- spent a night at the Great Wolf Lodge and it was great! It's not something for a long family vacation though. I was interested about the magic adventure the hotel was hosting but i figured it was way too kiddy, except the wands cos those were really cool.
And before I forget, I want to specially mention and thank Earthstar, Secondlina, and Ameban for wishing me a happy birthday! (I'll have to reply to them ASAP) We celebrated it yesterday and I had a great time eating lots and lots of sushi! We also visited the Seafood city supermarket that opened at the Southcenter Mall. It's not just ANY supermarket, it's almost a replica of how a typical Filipino supermarket looks like, with a modern design. I love it but I wonder how everyone else is going to see it. Especially those who don't know our Filipino products.
