Mandy's Surprise B'day party. ^___^
Yay! Yesterday at school, our group and Taz's group had a suprise party for Mandy for her b'day which ish actually today. xD
Earlier in the week, Taz told our group to bring drink, lollies and chips on Friday for kst's birthday...but since she had many ulcers on Thursday, we decided to buy just chocolate mudcake, lollies and drinks...and Janice even brought man tou! (Some chinese buns...that's what we call Mandy some times xD)
Anyways, before school, I caught the early train and recieve/made quite alot of phone calls regarding the surprise party...and since Mandy was on the train with most of the other people planning the party, not everyone could go to Woolworths since some people had to distract Mandy so she wouldn't find out any details of the party, so just Em, Fez and Shaz came with me to buy cake and drinks....
And then we had to devise a way to get kst to the party place without looking too suspicious, so Claud got Miss Booth to write a note to Mandy saying that she needed to meet her at the VA block (the party place) to discuss some stuff for our grade charity day... and in the last minute, Claud managed to get the note and Em & I needed to relay the note to Mandy's roll call room and put it in the roll just when the bell rang, so that she'll think that it's a real notice for her... xD
At the grade assembly after period 1, Taz showed our group minus Mandy this giant card she had made and told us all to sign it, so right after the assembly i had to run around the other side of the building to get in so Mandy won't see me, and then I lost the rest of the group so I searched around the building looking for my group...and then the first I ended up finding was mandy...and it was kinda hard to hide a giant cardboard card from her....but I don't think she found out about it yet >w<, and on the stairs she came out of, Natza and Em told me that everyone else was in a room downstairs getting all the food, so Em and I went down to sign the card and blow up balloons.... Fun fun fun xD
Then during maths, we got Katie to hide to balloons since she wasn't in our maths class, and tai por* hid the card in the row behind us....next we had English and the start of the short story writing competition....T__T So we all just wrote, wrote our hearts away until the bell for lunch FINALLY rang. Somebody (i'm not sure who) told our Mr Campbell, who ish also mandy's roll call teacher, to stall mandy for awhile while the everyone else set up the party in the VA block. Claud, Em and I also stayed with mandy and watched (and laughed) at how our Mr C was stalling her....but then Mandy's mentions the note she got from our year advisor and said that she had to meet with her to discuss stuff and told us to meet her later...but of course we had to see this..and I accidentally almost burst out laughing XDD;;;
And then we followed her down to the VA block and into the VA staffroom, and watched as she went to find our year advisor...and then they started talking (about nothing xD), which was our cue to go into the party room (that rather suspicious closed off room; that particular room had no doors, it was kinda like a three wall room...), to find that the lights we all dimmed and everyone was crouching behind tables and the doorway thing. XDD
Everyone sat there waiting in almost silence...a stream of "shhh" rang through the room since not everyone could keep patient, and everyone was jumpy since they were kinda taking long to get here....
The door thingo was pulled apart, the light were instantly turned on, Mandy was standing on the other side...there was a weird silence thing for 3 or so seconds...then there was a great unison of SURPRISE!!!!
And of course, stationed at the entrance of the room was Taz with a camera, ready to take a piccy of her reaction. *XDDDDD* And what a reaction it was....Mandy started crying of happiness and was completely overwhelmed. She thought that most of us forgot her birthday or something and had NO idea that we planned this just for her. ^___^ <333
As the tears dried up and hugs given out, we crowded around the cakes (there were too so there was enough for all the people) and into one of the cakes, a solitary candle was put. It was lit, and Mandy posed for another picture. XD
And then EVERYONE got in a huddle around kst and our year advisor took a pic of us all�20+ people. XDD It was crazy and fun. ^__^
So the rest of the party could be summed up as: Sugar highs, Sunkist vs Pubsquash (hehe...poor Linny), Man tou and A LOT of drippy condense milk, one and a half eaten cakes, 3 packets of lollies *glares at Giel, the sugar high creator*, two empty bottles of Solo and Sunkist, empty cans of creaming soda, party poppers exploding, balloon popping and a lot of BLACKMAIL PICCIES!!!
And when it was time to open the not opened presents, Mandy opened the one from Lenore, and it was this REALLY CUTE Afk hat that she made. It was sooooo cute! Now I want one too T__T
Anyways, this was the most fun I had in a looong time! And I don't think anyone could stop laughing or smiling until school ended. ^__^
I think it was one of Mandy's best days of her life and I hope it'll stay as one of my favourite memories forever.
The best feeling in the world that I felt on that day, was the feeling you get that you know you helped someone who felt kinda down by surprising them with something special that makes them the happiest you've ever seen them. ^___^ <333
