Highlight of MAMA (MNet Asian Music Awards) 2010
is of course.....SunDara!!! during Taeyang's performance of 'I Need A Girl'. CL, Bom and Minzy's reactions were jjang when Taeyang asked Dara on stage with him, and when he kissed Dara on the cheek =DD
I wonder how GD and Wooyoung reacted.. It was totally like "in your face, dara's mine" to them xD someone let me know if anyone uploaded GD or Wooyoung's reaction at that moment *__*
But in my opinion, MAMA wasn't all that awesome this year. For one, personally I didn't get why they didn't invite JYJ this year. Even if they weren't nominated or anything, they could've made guest appearance or something >.<
On a separate note, I think the award winners of MAMA 2010 wasn't all that fair. After all it seemed all too suspicious that the winners were all those that were present even though there were some really strong nominees. Either they forfeited the nominees that didn't turn up (which even if they did they wouldn't tell) or that the fans just didn't bother voting knowing that they idols wouldn't be there to receive the award anyway. Of course, I'm not saying that the winners didn't deserve their awards, but I think some would've gone to some other nominees had they turned up. The only exception was Rain, which he did a video message. I suppose for him there was a valid reason to be absent, having performed for the 16th Asian Games Closing Ceremony (which was a day ago in China too).
But I can't quite see the reason for some companies to boycott the event. True there were some artistes that chose to perform at Inkigayo and Music Core, but couldn't they have sent the rest that aren't doing promotion activities now? In that case they would've satisfied Mnet, SBS and MBC all together. And I think SM is just behaving like a little kid that doesn't get his toy. Just because of the fiasco last year with JYJ at MAMA 2009, they decided to boycott this year's event too =.=
However, I would think that Mnet's decision to hold the award ceremony at Macau was a mistake at the start. Although their intentions were hopefully good, to expose these artistes to other countries, but the decision to hold it on a Sunday was a bad one. That way it forced the companies to choose between Mnet and SBS & MBC.
All that said, they are just my two cents worth on them. I welcome any constructive comments too ^^
