I normally didn’t think of myself as an eavesdropper, but some conversations are simply too riveting to ignore.  The day started with me noticing that Harry was eating breakfast in the sun room with a bandaged left hand.  Remus wasn’t living at our haven at the time, but he’d often eat breakfast there, volunteering to fix breakfast if he was ( Read more... )

I enjoyed Hermione's protest at lying to Harry. That's a lesson they've learned (the hard way) through his reactions in 5th year, so I appreciate your keeping her in character with what has gone before. Hermione of all people would learn her lessons well!

The idea of a mother sharing *those* dreams with her son is interesting ... and disturbing!! It's a clever extrapolation from your base premise of this story. Given Lily's voyeur role in Harry's dreams, and vice-versa (ouch!) I am not surprised whatsoever that the mail communiques between them might be long and extensive! Imagine Harry's possible mental problems if he felt guilty about what his mum had seen, but never brought it out into the open! But they're a nice idea, too, for Harry to finally have some parental contact, get parental advice.

I didn't get the 'blonde ditz' conversation at all ... Harry's segue into why 'Ron doesn't like blondes' seemed a bit unrelated and contrived. Hermione's never been blonde before, so what was the point of it?

There seemed to be a mis-step in the later conversation between Lily and Hermione ... "Do you want to talk about it?” initially seems to be Lily in the sequence, but it's really Hermione?

Not going to finish this before DH-day, I guess? Amazing the number of story updates over the past seven days!

Hermione, unconsciously, was looking like a version of Lavender Brown, ten years older.

I'll have to make that more clear.
