Now that I've finally returned from work (my last day before I leave for college) I can talk about my summer vacation...
For my 18th birthday, the girls (Lisa Dawn Erin PattyG and Daria) and I went to Bogarts for the second time. Erin got wasted (as usual) and was hurling all night long in one of Daria's pots that her family probably uses to cook pasta in haha. Hmm, let's see... I went to the beach a few times, but nothing like last summer which was every day for me. I spent a lot of time reading in the backyard by my pool. I'm acctually quite proud of myself, I read 4 books this summer, all comedies too.
Yesterday was Dawn's last day in West Babylon, so me, Bill and my friend Mike Xydias (the pitcher for Hofstra's Baseball team), went out and ate at the South Bay diner. Afterwards Mike and I got some Carvel and then went back to his aunts house and watched the JETS game. Mike is a pretty cool guy, he's been all over the east coast it seems. He went to high school in East Rockaway, but after HS his family moved to Georgia which is where they reside now. They have no Carvel there (I'd die) so we went to Carvel the other day and endulged in some soft ice cream.
Yeah, I miss Vito so much. I think about him every 5 minutes. I hate being so far away from each other!! It drives me crazy. I seriously can't wait to visit him!!
Well speaking of college I'm sooooo excited to start Hofstra. Originally I didn't want to go there 'cause it was on LI, but seriously, it's an amazing school. HUGE campus (240 acres) and it's sooo pretty there. There are so many festivals and carnivals and we get off for every Jewish holiday!! YAY FOR THE JEWS! The best thing about it is that they bumped up their standards making it real hard to get in, and they're now NYU status. Pretty soon they'll be IVY League and I can say I graduated from an IVY school!! Yessssss.
I've met soo many amazing people so far, it's crazy. I'm already close friends with my friend Julie, and my roomate Michelle. The three of us are joining the Hofstra Pep Band, and we get to travel together. October 8th we're going to UDEL! I get to see Dawn! WWoooooooOooOo!!
I'm also friends with Mike, then theres Bill, Joe and Tom, my Tracy, Susie and her boyfriend Garret, this guy Max, Jessica, my other roomie Joyce, and this is just from the summer time. I can't wait to move in and meet more people!!
I'm going to be dorming in the Netherland suites which are exclusively off campus and are the nicest residental areas to live in, which makes me happy! Oh I'm going to love having my own bathroom. I can't wait to decorate my room. Posters everywhere baby! John Mayer everywhere too. >>I'm OBSESSED<<
A week ago, Dawn, Bill Lisa and I went to a Ducks game. It was fun, but we were totally annoyed at the jackass next to us trying to start a wave and made a horrible failed attempt. Great job asshole haha. A week prior I had a barbeque at my house, for like 11 hours straight!! It was fun and got everyone together before we all started going to college. Maaannn I'm going to miss my buddies.
On a closing note I'd like to add in that I'm sooo going to miss my girlfriends like crazy. Every darn summer day I was with them and loved every moment of it. I miss my boyfriend like crazy too. I was litterally with him almost every day too. My gosh it's so hard being so far away. <3 I miss you guys and I love you all.
