so...the lack of employment is, to not put too fine a point on it, driving me bARmY.....
every time the phone rings it's a mad dash, and it doesn't help that we've had 2 wrong numbers this morning and we're avoiding calls from Tim Horton's cos ashley "isn't home" --_< *wink*
it's drizzly out, and generally not "i'm happy to be outside" weather. and I desperately need to do groceries this afternoon too. i have 2 potatoes left...thats about it lol. the bad thing is i haven't had any bread for about a week, and after reading Stephen Fry's amazing book The Liar yesterday i've been craving toast! (on a side note, you know you've written too many essays when as soon as you write the name of a book you have the overwhelming urge to underline it....)
This book is fantastic....or "fabulous darling" as Adrain might put it. kind of At Swim-Two-Birds in it's structure and dizzying plot twists and turns and upheavals... and you spend the first half of the book utterly engrossed but wondering what the hell is going on with Tweed Jacket and the like.
The end of the book literally leaves you screaming. A sort of bewilderment mixed with "shock" and "awe" (not in the George Bush / K-Fed way though) and not knowing what to say other than "OHH!!!" to which
insanityangel85, who had read the book before i did (as i was reading Hugh Laurie's The Gun Seller first, again underlined :P and another book that you HAVE to read) responded with "I KNOW!!!!" the rest follows as such.....
"HOLY CRAP!"
"I KNOWW!!!!!"
"WOW"
"ISN'T IT AWESOME!!"
"I TOTALLY WASN'T EXPECTING THAT!"
it lasted for about 5 minutes (all in caps lock equivalent) and then we handed the book over to Jo for her to read. lol. toooo good.
now i've started a P.G. Wodehouse Jeeves and Wooster omnibus with 3 books in it. expect lots of "what ho!" and "I say!" and "rather!" lol Boko has been unleased!
and with that pip-pip and cheerio.
