Now that is cool. I fed it the standard handful of artists I typically call my favorites (though it didn't recognize Kevin Max, but oh well), and it played a band called Katatonia - never heard of them, but they're probably the first Creed-esque band that didn't annoy me by sounding Creed-esque.

I'll have to check Katatonia out too. I've known several bands that I would like better if they were not so Creed-ish (Kutless, for one).

I wish they categorized music by language also. Some rock/metal bands appeal to me musically, but the lyrics and themes make me run away quickly.

Yeah, I do like Kutless now, but it took me a long time to get into their music for just that reason. Creed is still my favorite band, and it annoyed me when another artist sounded like they were trying to sound like them.

And I was thinking the same thing with Pandora, too. Sonically, it seems to be very smart at finding a good match, but the one common theme running through most all of my favorites that it doesn't seem to account for is the spiritual nature of the lyrics (whether the artist is "Christian" or not).
