... a little thing called Pandora. You can create a "station" by telling the application what your favorite songs/artists are. Then it plays either songs from your favorites or a suggested song you probably never heard of.
Pretty nifty. I was suggested a song by Living Sacrifice (one of my faves) that I had not heard before. The reason it was suggested was:
Based on what you told us so far, we're playing this track because it features hard rock roots, punk influences, a subtle use of vocal harmony, repetitive melodic phrasing, and demanding instrumental part writing.
Yeah, sounds about right. I'm a little miffed that it didn't recognize the groups The Echoing Green or Still Breathing. I guess their database still needs work :)
