this ladies and gents, is what the 80s was about. the current 'official' compilations suck: the same tired songs over & over, the same sailor fukus and machine guns.. the same onyanko dibs and lame boy bands. and while i did line up some familar faces and big names, i've specifically chosen a few of the less played out tunes. like, did you know akina nakamori had other singles beside Shojo-A and TATTOO? yeah. sure you did. these are some of my favourite songs, ever. i constantly listen to this shit on repeat so often that charlie's threatening to dodge out the balcony window. these songs represent everything from my childhood and every fond memory i have of tv, music and bootlegged cassette tapes. countless covers and remakes later, the originals still stand apart and still reign king. grab your best spandex, leg warmers and get ready to sweat it out to the greatest hit tunes of the 80s.
tamaki koji is still my #1 sexiest dude alive EVER.
