Rina Chinen was the first J-pop artist I ever heard, back during my first year of high school. I've always loved her. Thanks for sharing. <3

Actually, it seems like Rina was a first for a LOT of people I know! Crazy that nowadays she's so hard to find.

If your taste is anything like mine, then you'll definitely enjoy this. I have all three of her albums and I can say without a doubt that this one beat the snot out of her other two. 'growing' was alright imho.. I liked the singles.. but otherwise, the rest of it was boring. Her single collection was pointless.

THIS ALBUM WAS A BITCH TO FIND. I used to have a copy on MD way back but I eventually lost it somewhere. It took me like 2 years and many, many friends' help to find this (eventually on yahoo jp). ;___; Even otokichi couldn't find it. lol

Btw, your icon rocks the shabong.

Yeah, I liked her early singles, but they weren't really different from most of the j-pop of that era so there was nothing to really grab me.

I end up doing most of my music searches (save for new stuff) on Yahoo Japan Auctions these days...even with deputy fees, it's still a cheap way to get older CDs (I recently got the first press of Takako Uehara's "pupa" for like 900 yen :D).

The names you mentioned are familiar, but I haven't been on *my* computer in over a year so I don't know if I liked/used to like those people. XD

I just download it anyway 'cause if I don't like it, I can just bahleet it!
