I can never think of a good subject. So. I.AM.A.CAT.
I'm sure everyone has heard, and has posted, and I am going to as well..But George Carlin passed away on the 22nd. I only heard about it on the radio the next morning, which happened to be Andrew's birthday (yesterday, the 23rd)
First thing I said to him was, Andrew, George Carlin died...Oh, I guess I should have said happy birthday first. lol. He got a laugh out of it. It wasn't meant to be mean, I just thought he would have wanted to know since both of us are fans.
We liked how he said it like it is, didn't sugar coat shit, and what he said made sense. for example, how the goverment is chaging our language. How to be politically correct. SHELL SHOCK.
Anyway. Yesterday I found out that my team is being asked to do one hour of overtime a week for the summer. WTF! also, on our busiest day, which they think will be the monday after july 4th, because Americans seem to lose or break their phones on that day, we will be forced to work 10.5hr shifts.
Benifits -- double time and a half=$$$
downfall-- not being asked (for the OT monday), feeling pressured to work OT (for the team),having shit to do after work and choosing a day to work, cousin visiting and majority of family birthdays are in the summer (which is better than in winter/near christmas I guess), my general lazyness and not wanting to work more than I have to.
so. money does intrest me..very much so, but I'm just pissed off over the fact that...I'm being asked to work an hour a week to make the team look good, but in the end make the supervisor look good. then being forced to work a 10.5hr shift. I stopped working 10hr shifts because I was so pissed off at the end of the day, that I decided I would work the 5days instead of 4, just so I dont have to be there for 10hrs..
THEN, if its busy tuesday, which is my day off ,theyw ill make us come in on our days off and give us another day off.
I guess its not as bad as I think, but it still sucks. I feel used sometimes. by the customers and the company. but I guess thats life, and thats how businesses run these days. If I could afford to, I'd love to work in a small retail store, or a cafe, somewhere personal and you have regular customers . but most of those are either part time, or minimum wage. *le sigh*
Maybe one day I'll be a good painter and sell my stuff, of course I'll need to learn A)PATIENCE B)MOTIVATE MYSELF
I'll keep positive.
OH YEA! if Andrew's back isn't hurting (like it was this morning) we should be getting a 36' sony trinitron tv. I dont know what that is, but its supposed to be big and have a nice picture he is buying it from his friend who got a lcd tv,or something. we already have a big 32" tv, which is going in the computer room. AAAH it would be nice to play the WII on the big screen again...then our 24" that we got a couple of years ago when we were at our first apartment, will be going to Andrew's borther tom. he, his fiancee, and little girl just moved into their first apartment, and need a tv. I'm giving them myold dvd platyer too. It doesn't play data dvd's (which is why I bought the new one last month, to play all my burnt shit)but a least they can watch their dvd's.
what else. I can;t think. so i;ll go clean. gots to make sure the appt is clean for the ppl bringing the tv,
(half the time its looking ok, just cluttered, and most people are cool with a bit of clutter, its not DIRTY..and most of our friends have clutter too, which Idon mind eiter. HOWEVER, my mother used to freak out and clean when guests came, and I inherited that. So I panic when people come over unannounced, and then I start to clean when they are there, Bad BAd. lol.)
