Title: Our Fate is Already Written
Genre: fluff/romance
Pairing: Sakuraba
Summary: “One day, once I touch my soulmate, we can write letters on our arms and we will be able to communicate that way.”
A/N: This is a side story of
"Fate Written on Your Hand" that somehow became longer than a one-shot.
Hmm, what can I say about this one? Sakuraba is damn fast that their soulmate drama ends in 4 parts while Juntoshi is like... 14 chapters? XD

Cut 2:
Masaki was saying the truth; he was involved in this café.
Sho was following Jun inside Rain Café. His friend had a particular liking to this place. It was, yes, cozier than the more commercial coffee shops around the city. It made him smile a little since this homey café was conceptualized by Masaki.
After Jun paid for his order, he stepped in front of the counter and said his order. “One espresso please.”
“… I told you, it will be better if we try to enhance the colors,” he heard a familiar voice say. This made Sho turn around and he saw a man whose back was facing him, talking to someone on the phone. His face was covered by the ray of sunlight that was unusually copious.
He looked at him curiously as the man continued to argue with the other person on the phone.
“Uhm, excuse me? Your payment please…” the barista said with a sleepy smile.
Sho handed him the bills and waited for his receipt. He then walked towards his friend and started to look at the free newspaper given in the café.
He tried to concentrate on the business news but he could not. The voice was too familiar. It was as if it was Masaki, the guy from the taxi.
Then at that moment, it happened.
Sho felt a warm tickling sensation riding up his forearm. Slowly, subtly, he rolled up his sleeves and stared at the skin where he felt the sensation.
Lines were magically appearing. Jun and the people around Sho did not seem to notice. It was as if the writings were only for him. He stared in awe as a random doodle graced his forearm. There was no meaning in it: just a series of loops and lines.
Sho did not know if it would work. He grabbed the green fountain pen and drew a circle. He almost let out a squeak when the circle was slowly surrounded by curls, making it look like a primary school level flower drawing.
“I can’t believe it! I found you!”
Sho’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “What?”
“You’re my soulmate!”
***
“What is your name?”
“Is it really okay to say?”
“Yes, of course.”
“Masaki.”
Sho’s heart skipped a beat. He looked across him and saw the familiar silhouette of Masaki, the designer, writing something that was incidentally covered by the condiments tray. It was more than a coincidence.
“How about you?” Masaki asked.
“Sho.”
“That sounds so cute! I’ll call you Sho-chan!”
Sho coughed, feeling a bit shy. The only one who called him like that, at this age and time, was his mother. “Why can we talk like this?”
“They say that when you touch your soulmate for the first time, he can see what you write on your forearm.”
“Are we really soulmates?” Sho asked. It was unbelievable. He would not have believed this high school girl urban legend but there he was, experiencing the magic of exchanging notes with his soulmate by the forearm. It was cute.
“Yeah. What do you think?”
Sho looked at the man who was, as always, covered with sun rays, and smiled. “I think you’re a wonderful person, Masaki.”
“You don’t. I’m no good.”
“Why do you say so?”
“I’m a stupid person, you see?”
***
“What’s your favorite movie, Sho-chan?”
“My Neighbor Totoro.”
“Cool! Can you draw Totoro?” Aiba asked. His soulmate did not reply.
“You might not like it.”
Masaki watched as circles were being drawn on his forearm. He just let the tickling sensation continue while he drew his own project on his sketchbook. After finishing a set, he looked at his forearm and almost sputtered his juice all over his sketchbook.
“What happened to you, Aiba-shi?” Nino asked, running towards his door.
“N-nothing,” Masaki replied, wiping the juice from his mouth. He glanced at the - what was that? - Totoro drawing on his forearm. Nino could not see that and Masaki thought that if Nino would see that, he would never hear the end of it.
Nino let the room and Masaki had enough time to analyze Sho’s ‘work of art’.
“I bet I’m that bad,” Sho wrote under the bad drawing.
“Yes you are,” Masaki replied. “One of my best friends is an artist and I don’t want to lie about your skills.”
Sho replied with an attempt to draw a crying emoji.
Masaki let his back fall on the tatami mat. He looked at his ceiling, wondering what Sho would look like. One thing’s for sure, though. He had found his soulmate and he could not wait to finally meet him.
No, this is not my drawing... But you get the idea... XD
