Megaupload gone :( Any suggestions for an alternative?
Well the big news today was MU got taken down. I was wondering why I couldn't get Secret Garden uploaded, it was the only file I had left to upload and it was stalled. I came home tonight to find a new post over at dreamstep_jump talking about the take down so I went to read a few articles. It doesn't look like MU will be back up again which sucks. I'm not surprised when I saw all the stuff going on about the new laws in congress my first thought was all the file storage places are going to be the largest targets, but I didn't expect it to happen so quickly either. I didn't ever realize MU was based in the US.
The biggest problem is going to be where do I upload to now besides MF? I really don't want to put all my links in one basket :) I am leaning toward Rapid Share right now since you can upload bigger files there. Anywhere I go I will probably be doing a paid membership but I've used Rapid share before at least to download alot. I would use sendspace but I know with MF I use more than 100mb of bandwidth a month so the links would be dead before even half a month even with a premium membership. I've also downloaded from Badango but don't know alot about them. 4share is out since I noticed alot of their links get taken down. Anyone else have any suggestion of what you would like me to use? Or hosting sites to look into?
Another rather annoying thing I'm going to be doing is abbreviating the file names and I might start adding passwords to the PVs as well. I know it sucks and its a pain in the ass not just for you but for me. But I look for file hosting sites to start cracking down and what is being uploaded so I want to make the files look as inconspicuous as possible. A file labeled {PV] GACKT...... is probably going to get noticed. Lets not get noticed is going to be my motto.
Other than that I actually did good this week considering by my second day off I only had the ueda thing done and was rather unenthusiastic about finishing the D Making. I just couldn't get the drive to finish it, I don't think I will be doing too many more makings from them. I got the TSD translation back from tetris and I'm going to start working on it today. I'm excited cute baby animals!!!!!!!!
