Ratatouille is all sorts of awesome! What a relief to see that there is one creative bone left out there. I think I was one of the only ones in the theatre laughing at some parts, though - nice when that happens ^.^o There were lots of subtle things, like the imagery in the food critic's office (brilliant!) and I hope I can see it again soon to catch more things.
I finally finished re-reading Order of the Pheonix and look forward to re-reading Half-Blood Prince in anticipation of the final book. (Sna~pe! I can't wait to find out what his damage is. ^^) Here's hoping that Fred and George are just as awesome in the OotP movie as they were in the book! (I'm dying to see their 'We quit school' scene!)
Youtube is good for your health, right, elasticblue? ^.~ Today we found the original Pizza Cats:
'Kyattou Ninden Teyandee'. Why can't they cast voice actors like this nowadays? The english actors match the japanese quite well! (Speedy's laugh is almost identical, it's creepy ^^) Although it's just the first couple of episodes, it's quite enjoyable to watch the original thing and see just how messed up the english version is. But, messed up in a good way ^.^
My adventures of following the voice actor
Shinichiro Miki from the start-point of Urahara of Bleach to new anime has yielded some interesting results. I quite enjoy
Kokoro Library, which reminds me a fair bit of how sweet 'Sugar' and 'Bottle Fairies' are. I've also heard him most recently in Ayakashi Ayashi, El Cazador de la Bruja, Fate/Stay night, Gintama, Harukanaru Toki no Naka de and Detective Academy Q. A couple of these anime I've already finished or will contine following. Miki-san not only seems to keep a similar voice for almost all his roles that I've heard so far, but he also tends to consistantly pick up some very enjoyable (read: quirky/strange/eccentric) characters. ^^o
Bleach ep 132 was, for filler, quite enjoyable and funny! Karin tries to convince Hitsugaya to help her and her friends in a soccer match... He's just too sweet. He keeps saying 'no, I can't help', but helps anyway ^.^ I have a feeling that this filler, and perhaps the next few?, might actually be derived from the bonus bits of story that's in the manga volumes. I could be wrong, of course, because Shinigami Cup seems to take most of that material, but this episode just seemed to flow so much better than other filler. And Hitsugaya had another quick but awesome fight again this episode ...but what's with all these Menos showing up all the sudden? Perhaps they want a bite of the Captain-class reiatsu that's kicking around...?
New ending song! Wow, were we due for a change already? *shurg* I'm not particularly moved by it, but I have a feeling it might grow on me. The other ones tended to do that.
For elasticblue, songs from
Abingdon Boys School. If I recall correctly, the folder will come with the title song and one other.
