Congrats on the internship and I really hope it turns into a career job for you.

I will give a website some thought. I have no idea what I would need a website for, though. I mean, I knit and I game, but that seems kind of lame.

People have made websites for things that are far more "lame" ;) Personally, I think a knitting/crafting showcase would be a great thing for you. I mean, I know you have Ravelry and LJ to put photos up but this could be something that's more "you" and maybe a little more easily referenced when you need to dig out an old project or something.

And maybe I could move my knitting font to a personal website. Would I be able to see then how many times it was downloaded?

Yup, I could set it up so you can track page views and stuff via Google.

Dude, I think you'll be a shoe in for a full time position.

Also, I'd like to take you up on that offer of a website. I could even do a barter thing with food and/or hand knitted items and/or something else interesting.

Let me know!

Sounds like a great plan :) What kind of website do you have in mind?

Is it sad that I don't even know that part? I kind of just want a general one I can link my other accounts to and share with family and friends. I wouldn't mind a tracker. I definitely want to put up pics of stuff I do and work on and I'd like some sort of way to write or blog on it. Any thoughts?

We can get you a general blog running and I should be able to find plugins that'll link it to your tumblr, twitter, LJ, etc.

I know tumblr and LJ and all those are great but I think there's something to be said for the flexibility of having a blog that's more "you."

We can get together sometime after the weekend and talk about what you wanna do :)

All the best, Ceitful! That's a sweet offer; I wish I had need of a website. I will probably make one for my furniture design in the near future, but I'd have very limited content at current.
