Right now I am in the Yahoo Cafe in Terminal 2. I like it because internet access is free.
I had a bit of an ordeal getting to the airport. This was the first time I've gone to Narita without someone I know driving me. I took th train from Taura. I picked up the Narita Express at Tokyo Station. I didn't realize that it had separate bookings than the regular JR. It was kind of funny ignoring this guy asking me to get out of his seat. The ignoring part worked until the conductor kicked me out of it and demanded another 1660 Yen.
While I was waiting to pick up my ticket from the HIS counter there was a small earthquake. It shook the aquarium in the lobby pretty good. Most everybody in the place just ignored it. The only people who seemed to get excited were the Westerners.
I think I may pay the extra few bucks to get on a legit airline through non-discount means. I got the ticket on Sunday. The HIS agent would not tell me what airline I was going to be on until I purchased the ticket. WHat kind of crap is that. The upside is that I saved about 15000 Y (150 bucks). However, there seems to be many downsides... They don't give you a regular or e-ticket at the time of purchase. I had to go to the counter today and pick it up. Check in just happened... a few hours later. Now I find out that when I get to the gate, the plane won't be there. We will have to take a lo0ng busride to get to the plane's location. I hope it is somewhere in Japan!
