Music: None, as I'm at work

So this week:

The cold I was afraid of turned into the Cold from Hell....The worst one in recent memory and it about knocked me flat for the better part of the week. Even this morning I woke up in the middle of the night with a crazy coughing fit. I feel better now, mostly, except I think I may be getting an ear infection.

Judy's Mom died I attended my first funeral. Dad and Judy are getting married in a couple months, and she is as good as family now so I had to go do the supportive step daughter/ step sister thing. It wasn't that bad, apart from me coughing throughout the service. And the singing was awful. My funeral will have a gospel choir, great poetry and those attending will be asked to wear the outfit they look hottest in. No black jumpers.

I attended training to become a volunteer at Fan Free Clinic. I will be working the booths at health fairs and doing sexual health presentations around town. I am so so so excited because I have been wanting to be an AIDS educator for a few years.

I put in my two week notice at my bullshit cafe job. I've just had it up to here with food service jobs. I've been doing them for five years now and I am just over it. It's hard because I absolutly love the people I work with, especially the Mexican and Guatamalan women who work in the kitchen, but I just cannot stand the managment. They are racist and sexist and generally disrespectful.

Two weeks till my 24th birthday.
One month till I hear about acceptance to Pratt.
Four months till I move to NYC.

What a wonderful, exciting time in my life.
