So... somebody e-mailed me saying that they'd like to write a sequel for Dentes, since they were dissatisfied with the ending. I've said before that I have a good idea of what I'd like to write for the sequel, but do not know when or if I'll write it. Ah well. Artistic inspiration is merely your opinion and imagination on something existing. Tecnically, you can't forbid someone to express himself and share that opinion, otherwise we wouldn't be writing fanfiction on Naruto now. I believe they should be free to write whatever they want, as long as they credit [properly and thoroughly] in the most strict of senses ( ... )

You're right that it would be kind of hypocritical of me to say they couldn't. I really couldn't stop them, but I don't like it. I think there should be a line drawn at fanfics of fanfics, haha.

You write fine stop it with that genius nonsense.

Actually, I was the one of them, the readers who were dissatisfied with the ending of Dentes.

Maybe I'll try to read the sequel that written by someone else... but, dunno, would it be as great as yours? I doubt it. :P

Still, I'm sure it would be great if you could make it by yourself for sure.

Write the sequel, please? :)

If I have the time I will. If I ever write it and am not sure if I'll finish, I might put it up on my journal just to keep it somewhere. My harddrive is a horrible mess, haha.

I'm a big fan of your work...but anyway, I think that I agree with those guys who are saying that if you feel comfortable with letting this person write a sequel, then you should go on ahead. But personally, I believe that you should allow this person to only write like--now I'm stealing words here--a "fanfic of a fanfic". Doing so would allow people who are dissatisfied with your ending (who would feel such a way?! D:) to maybe get an ending that they like, while still allowing you the chance to add on to your original story if you ever feel up to it...I hope that makes sense. I'm not too good with words. Heh.
