So...today was...uneventful.

I did get my new cellphone from Cingular up and working. It looks like I'm going to have to charge it more often than the little Nokia 3560 that I got from AT&T wireless; I don't talk on the phone very much, but I could go for more than a week without charging it.

This is the Pagan Holiday of Yule, which my local best friend celebrates. It involves the "celebration [of] the rebirth of the Sun, which is the promise of spring and life, even on...the darkest day" [Yule is on the winter solstice]. Although I still am an atheist, from what I have read about Paganism, it makes a lot of sense, especially compared with Christianity/Judaism, and Islam. I've felt the need for a serious...if not rebirth, at least a nice mental cleansing, so Yule feels far more appropriate than Christmas for me.

Also, I'd like to point out that if we are going to assign a specific holiday to our holiday trees, such as "Christmas" Trees, they should be "Yule" Trees, because they were around long before Christ was allegedly born. Yule: The Authentic Winter Holiday. ;-)
