How did this book become that movie? I can only shake my head. I love the movie, don't get me wrong, but I want one that's like the book! With the wild horses and the miscarriage. Carey Mulligan can play Holly Golightly. That would be nice.
Anyway, I really loved the prose and the characters were amazing and I wish it was four times as long. That's really all. Except that I now have to read more Cap$ote, dammit.
And unfinished remained "A Thousand Miles Away" by ... some chick. It was a Mills&Boon from the 1970s with everything that was wrong in that era on the first 7 pages. Wrong as in "You're not part of that women's liberation movement, are you?" "Uh, no, uh, no." "Well then let's get married right away!" "Uh but uh I'm shy and have never even been kissed except by that boy on the beach who felt me up but that totally doesn't count does it?".
