Okay, embarrassing confession. I always thought this was a drama about two middle-aged couples who spend their evenings playing boardgames and boring each other senseless.
Yeah, no, I don't know why. It's not, it's a very poignant drama about one middle-aged couple and a couple of newlyweds who psychologically torture each other (well, at least you can safely say they play mind games...) one night under the influence of a lot of alcohol until their carefully erected pretenses collapse and the foundations of their relationships and lives are basically shattered and I loved it so much I can't even say. I walked up and down in the room and read passages out loud to myself, I loved the prose that much. I want to see it on stage very badly.
