SO. New proof that I'm completely out of my mind and must be stopped: I'm going to apply to the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences to do a political science Ph.D. (as a joint degree with my J.D. at the Law School).

Don't say it. Just don't.

I'll be applying this fall for entrance in the Fall 2008 semester, which works out well because you generally spend the first year doing only law school stuff anyway, even if you apply to both degrees at the same time. Soooo...yeah. I have to take the GRE and figure out recommendations and write essays and stuff. What does it say about my year that, after applying for the Rhodes and Marshall scholarships AND law school (all in the space of 6 months), this sounds like an incredibly easy process? One personal statement, some research essays, three recommenders (the Rhodes needed eight), and a test that isn't the LSAT? SWEET! I can totally do that. No prob!

I think I'm going to go drown myself in the shower.
