I'm with you on preferring the bad guy in this instance :) I wonder when the ABC will get this. I love how you used Buckley's chance - and I heard that it's origins were from the convict Buckley instead of those other reasons :) Have packed my stuff for your place so I'll see you soon :)
I promise to safeguard your stuff. Sorry I had to dash off, but there are things I have to sort out before going back to work tomorrow. Enjoy Bookworm!!! :D
Thanks. *cough* 55% Just hope it's not the animated Disney one with Robin Hood as a wolf or worse Robin Hood Men in Tights. Actually worse, the Patrick Bergin one. :D
*pouts* Robin was a fox, as was Marion. I'm rather partial to that version, actually.
I will join with you in running screaming from Men in Tights and the Patrick Bergin one though. I also (and here I gather I may be alone) don't care much for the Kevin Costner movie, except for the Alan Rickman bits, which I tend to fast forward to. It's been years since I last watched it though, so I confess I'm no longer clear on whether my aversion to it is due to it being a bad movie, or because I was sulking like crazy that Hollywood's decision to jump on the Robin Hood bandwagon at that point (both that and the Bergin version came out at much the same time), stopped Goldcrest from going ahead with their movie version of Robin of Sherwood. There's a certain amount of sour grapes involved in seeing Robin hanging out with a Saracen sidekick, and knowing that that idea was ripped off wholesale from RoS's Nasir. ;-)
The two versions it has to beat as far as I'm concerned are Robin of Sherwood and Errol Flynn's Adventures of Robin Hood. I'm still

*choke* Wolf, fox, dog, cow .. animal thing :D I'm terrible, I've actually never watched that version.
Am downloading Robin of Sherwood with Michael Praed now because I remember seeing the ads at the time but never watching it. Have you watched Maid Marian and her Merry Men? That was deeply funny :)

I doubt you're alone. I make my confession of liking it with sheepish embarrassment. For me it's so bad it's good :D I even like the Bryan Adams song. I am sick
Well, i didn't know the BBC was thinking on doing a new version of Robin Hood, but what really caught my attention was Richard Armitage, and i love the bio you posted here
OMFG, he's so dark, smouldering and angsty-looking
I agree on that, i loved him as Mr Thornton but i think he will be good as Guy too, hehe. I'm sure the series won't be shown here but i'll try to find it using Alternative ways
I didn't catch that psst comment, was it about Heroes or PB?
I'm downloading the first two episodes of Heroes, people have been talking a lot about it and i wanted to know how it was, and... seeing your posts about VM have made me curious about the series and i'm downloading it too ;)
I also adore Richard Armitage but I wonder if I will ever like him anything so much as I love him in North & South
I always have those doubts with some actors, it happened with me after loving Alan Rickman as Col Brandon in Sense and Sensibility
Thanks, you can take the icon if you want, no need to credit ;). I have to say that i really love your icon, that is one of the most beautiful kisses i've seen *sigh*
Heroes is good, season 1 Veronica Mars is extremely awesome, season 2 was average. Probably my favourite shows right now are Stargate Atlantis, BSG , Supernatural and House. They're consistently good - whereas the other shows have moments of greatness and moments of Not So Greatness. :D
Ah I'm so glad you like the icon. The funny thing is, a lot of people have the kiss in the icon but they have the one where their noses are squashed together. I love the image in my icon because it's Pre Nose Squash and therefore more romantic ;)
Ooooooooooo I WANT. What are the chances BBC America will pick it up? Showtime had the last one, but then it went to PBS which was nice...
Nothing wrong w/ liking the bad guy. No pun intended *snerk* I must confess I had a thing for Guy of Gisbourne in the last one. Even more when Jason Connery was Robin b/c he was so bland, but then the whole brother thing opened up all sorts of possiblites which only sadly played out in my head. I have a half finished fic scribbled somewhere in the bottom of a closet.
Umm. Pssst to you too ;) I haven't watched it yet though, just retrieved it via ADM.
This is embarrassing, despite loving the Clannad soundtrack, I've never watched a tv series of Robin Hood. Closest was Maid Marian and Her Merry Men. Ahem :D

If that doesn't work, I'm sure something else could be arranged...
