Icons: 2046 and House of Flying Daggers
I wasn't able to view this person's icons from my Beijing internet account, but my Canberra 'dodo internet' account although dial-up allows me to view them. Someone named winter_baby has made some really beautiful 2046 icons. Absolutely beautiful.
It's so much easier to find Zhang Zi Yi icons (for obvious reasons) than it is to find Faye Wong icons so I'm very delighted to have found these.
As usual, winterspel has once again beaten me and claimed the icon that I probably would have picked (shakes a paw at winterspel! ;), being this one:
Nonetheless, I am rather pleased with the icon I'm using, being Pensive Android Faye On Train.
Also, winterspel who is like an Icon Diviner, found these exquisite House of Flying Dagger icons here. A few other icons I rather like are beneath the cut.
Icon creators' names are all in the icon file name.
The text icon below says 戀人 liànrén which means lover or sweetheart. 'Lovers' is the name of the title song by the soprano Kathleen Battle (weird choice of singer I know!) and from memory the title of House of Flying Daggers in Korea was 'Lovers'.
These icons cause me a little regret. I love the design and would love them and use them if the colours hadn't been bleached out of them. The movie is so gorgeously vivid with its bright colours - that it seems a shame to lose the colour even though I understand the artistic rationale:
