Oooh. Very nice ... I love the bit of backstory and the filling in of the blanks from the start of the season. A bit about the interesting characters and how Quinn came to fit in there. Esp loved the part about Dar. :)
Thanks. I loved the idea of trying to figure out what happened in the period while Carrie was in Kabul and Quinn was in Islamabad. And yes, Dar ... what a jerk :)
ooohhh I like no..I love this!! You filled in the blank so well! and so many emotions going on *sniff* I especially love the 'indian food' part which I've forgotten until just recently I rewatched the 2nd season and reacquainted with that snarky playful Indian food-loving Quinn. /me nostalgic
Dar Adal is half satanic and sinister as sh*t and half very mean-girlish kind of character lol
Thank you. I really enjoyed writing it. I have also been rewatching season 2 Quinn and he seems VERY different in the first few episodes. By the end of season 2, that Quinn is pretty much the Quinn we see in seasons 3 and 4 so I wonder whether:
1. early season 2 Quinn was just an act that Quinn was putting on; or 2. early season 2 Quinn was just not developed as a character yet so Rupert Friend played it a certain way (assuming his character was a temporary one) and then when they decided to keep him around, changed the characterisation.
And yeah, Dar Adal is a jealous bastard. I wonder if he has the hots for Quinn. He's so possessive
Thank you! I really enjoy filling in the missing scenes. I have to leave writing the hot and heavy smut for other writers because I just can't do it in a way that can convince me, but I love the missing scenes and what ifs

"I like Indian food," Quinn replies blandly. Haha...so true of Quinn and Dar Adal interaction... Dar Adal always goes on and on, and Quinn is always so short in his reply, yet to the point... Haha... I just had to laugh at this one. Koala, it's so clever of you to smoothly link all the details from different episodes and wove them into a coherent story. What a gift! I also didn't realize that Kabul is only one-hour flight from Islamabad...now I can understand why Quinn would end up in Islamabad... Your missing scenes are so important for me to connect the dots of the limited interactions between Carrie and Quinn shown on TV. Thank you, Koala!

Oh no! That's terrible. They have a password reminder you could use?? I did a giant post for us here: http://koalathebear.livejournal.com/1496961.html I'd hate for you to miss out, especially when the wonderful BWG is joining in, too!
Dar Adal always goes on and on, and Quinn is always so short in his reply I think Dar Adal loves to hear the sound of his own voice!
I also didn't realize that Kabul is only one-hour flight from Islamabad...now I can understand why Quinn would end up in Islamabad I remember thinking: "WTF - why isn't he in Kabul?" Then I Google flight times and saw it was only an hour away and thought aha ... it's close but not tooooo close. I also Googled driving times and flying times to Missouri .. For one fic I was also checking what the nearest friendly airfield was to Syria .. if anyone looks through my Internet browsing history they will be really confused :P

Yes, that's very much how I see Quinn as well ... He can be violent, angry and deadly but his natural state is quiet, introverted loneliness
