Just finished watching season 1 of Legend of the Seeker (pic spam)

I was given some Terry Goodkind books to read when I was in university. I read a few and remember that some of the intense torture/bondage/sadism scenes didn't make for fun reading so I think I gave up after the first book in the The Sword of Truth series. The television series Legend of the Seeker which is loosely based on the The Sword of Truth

I find the show to be a lot of fun and enjoy the fact that Kahlan is a kickass female who's still pretty girly. Craig Horner is cute as an Easter bunny, which sells Richard to me enough that I'm not annoyed by what could have been a VERY annoying character.

I'm wondering whether Craig Horner's taken to drugs or hanging out drinking with Russell Crowe or something because this season he looks permanently scruffy and red-eyed - although maybe this is the show's attempt at making him look older and tougher :D

Aughhh! I read that book when I was 12 or 13 and I remember being more than slightly traumatized by the violent scenes in it. On the other hand I'm not sure how it related to my current interest in bdsm... formative years and all that, hmmm, food for thought. I never realized the LotS series was based on Goodkind's book - that's one less TV show on my to-watch list :D Love the leather though.

I enjoy the show now even though it causes pain and suffering for the Canadian because he thinks it's terrible. There is a lot of leather, though if you like that sort of thing :D

Glad to see I'm not the only one who misses Denna! She was awesome in her way, and her interaction with Richard had potential. And fanservice-y or not, Kahlan in Mord'sith attire was hot. *sigh* Cara is so snarky. Would love for both Cara and Denna to be travelling with the group now. :D

Rahl is very camp - he's kind of good-looking but Craig Parker makes him appear so gay that I see him as a pretty gay man rather than as a heart-throb which I as a chick should be drooling over :d Also his character has just been totally neutered this season
