碧峰峡 Bifengxia Panda Base
With the destruction of the 卧龙 Wolong Nature Reserve, the Canadian wanted to know what the replacement panda base was. We've discovered that it is the 碧峰峡 Bifengxia Panda Base in 雅安 Ya'An City, Sichuan Province. A couple of the Canadian's friends are coming to visit China at the end of July/early August, before we return to August in mid-August and we'll probably take them to 碧峰峡 Bifengxia so that they can cuddle pandas.

There's an article in Chinese about the base, it has photos and you can read it here. The place appears to be 150km outside of Chengdu and not quite so mountainous and dangerous as going to Wolong.
