Title: Blind Date
Character: Tegoshi Yuya X OC
Genre: Um.I dunno. Seriously. A little humour?
Summary: Adi goes on a blind date.

Author's note: This fic is written for a very very dear friend, adiweingarten!! It is her birthday today, and so this fic is born! I'm sorry that I couldn't make it more... um, focused on you and Tego, but I am rushing a 2000 word report after all, and. yeah. I got lazy XD HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I hope you enjoy this!

Adi glared at the two accursed texts hard. After what seems like, well, a minute, she heaved a deep sigh and just decided to go along with it. She regretted being kind towards Wendy, that spoiled rich girl who decided to move to Australia on a whim, without making sure that she can survive there. All she did was book an air ticket, pack a luggage, send a voice message email full of squeals to Adi and then, plonk!, appear on her doorstep the next day, with no place to stay, no plans at all, just lots of crazy ideas in her head. How she even managed to get Adi's address in the first place? Scary. Seeing no other choice, the kind Aussie girl decided to let the Asian girl in. Next thing she know, Wendy became a super nosy personal Cupid, sending her on blind dates, claiming that that guy "is a real gentleman and looks damn like Tego/Shige/Yama/whoever looks good.". It was never the case. And now, this.

Adi, last blind date in your life, I swear on it. He is basically a GOD. A JAPANESE kami-sama. Trust me on this. His name is Watanabe Kenji, goes by Kenji. Meet him at the movie theater, 6.30pm this evening. I told him which kind of movie you like and he got the tickets already. -Wendy

Almost immediately after she received this text, her phone happily binged an incredibly sexy "Kuchizuke wo~", indicating another text.

Hello, Adi. My name is Kenji, Watanabe Kenji. I think Wendy has told you about me. Let's meet this evening at 6.30 at the movie theater. I'll be by the ticket booth, in a black shirt and white scarf. See you there. -Kenji

Curse her inability to say no! And curse that so called friend who take that inability of hers for granted. One day, just one day, she will definitely find Wendy's weakness and put her through hell. As for now, she might as well meet with this Kenji fellow and enjoy a free movie. She nonchalantly replied an affirmative text and decided to get her butt off her bed and started getting ready for the date, no, the free movie. And Wendy has to know that she really wants to watch Twilight.

No, I'm not excited. Definitely not. I'm just early because the bus went to fast and all. I'm not even that early. Just, well, 45 minutes early. That's nothing.

Actually, that 45 minutes are actually quite something. Adi has been standing there for just 20 minutes, and she's tired already. And those adorable new shoes pinch her toes. She has to fight the urge to kick them off every time she shift her weight to the other foot. And that dude in the ticket booth seems to be leering at her. What? What is that ticket booth dude pointing at? That poster behind him? That's... what? The Adventures at the Car's Back Seat? What the hell is... WHAT?! An adult film? Porn?! Why is he looking at me like this? OH GOD, NO WAY AM I WATCHING THAT. NO, DON'T WAVE THAT FREE TICKET THAT HAPPILY AT ME YOU BASTARD, I'M HERE TO WATCH TWILIGHT, NOT THAT TRASHY FILM AND-

"Adi?"

Adi turned around abruptly, face still frozen at the obvious indignant at the ticket booth dude. Her eyes found a rather tall and strapping guy, wearing a black shirt and white scarf. Not bad, in fact, most probably the best guy Wendy has ever set her up with. But his face... Why is he so... scared? Oh. Adi quickly rearranged her face to an open smile. "Kenji?" That guy smiled and nodded.  "I'm sorry that I'm late, but we can take a seat inside already. I've arranged a dinner reservation for us later so that we can have a nice talk. I hope you don't mind me going ahead with the booking and all." Adi smiled, really, a gentleman at last. And so, off they two went to get popcorns and nachos and a drink, and then going into the theater.

Once they get seated, and while waiting for the movie to start, they started chatting. So, Kenji was born in Japan and raised there, until he decided to oversee his father's business in Australia and moved there. He was an obvious candidate for the job anyway, as he is the only one among his brothers who could speak somewhat coherent English, much much better than the others. Just as Adi was starting to relax, she realised something is wrong. The other people coming into the theater aren't giggly teenage girls, but rather, those hentai looking geeky nerds and loud obnoxious boys. She is the only girl. It's Twilight, right? Right at this moment, the lights dimmed and the chattering quiet down. Soon enough, the title of the movie splashed across the screen, which is T.....eh?   The Adventures at the Car's Back Seat?! Adi whipped her head around and looked at Kenji, who grinned at her. "Wendy told me you like romance dramas, love stories involving seemingly impossible pairings. Can't say that I'm not surprised that a girl likes this." He started rummaging around his bag and brought out towels "I've brought towels in case, well, in case it is really erotic, so that we can clean up afterwards." Adi stared at the towels in his lap in horror. And... What, he's undoing his zipper?! WHAT THE HELL. Furious, Adi stood up, pushed the snacks onto Kenji's lap and ran out of the theater. She heard his shouts but chose to ignore him. Until she was nearly out of the main door, when she felt someone grabbing her arm.

Whirling around, she yelled "I WANTED TO WATCH TWILIGHT!" And froze. It's not Kenji. This other fellow is shorter, more slender, with a confused yet adorable smile on his face. A little tanned, but most probably his tan got exaggerated by his white blond hair. "Whoa, girl, there's one showing in 10 minutes, you can definitely watch it. I doubt the tickets are sold out." Adi could only stare. "Um, miss? Actually, I just want to tell you that your shoe soles fell off." Only when Adi look down did she realises that, indeed, that too tight shoe has decided to discard its sole and her big toe is peeking out from the side. Talk about embarrassment! How can this day be any worse than it is? Sighing, she took off her shoe and look at the extend of the damage. The entire sole fell cleanly off. What kind of cheap shoes did she get? Adi was close to tears. She just want to go home and lie in her bed until it is the weekend.

"Um, if you don't mind the mud, I can borrow you my shoes. I wore them for soccer just now, so it is muddy, but it is wearable." That white blond guy dug out a pair of really muddy soccer shoes from his shoe bag. Adi shifted her eyes to the white sneakers he was wearing on his feet, which looks much more immaculate. "Oh no, my kindness doesn't involve these shoes. See those pink fur around the top? I glue them on myself. I can't borrow you these." Oh well, he is really kind enough to lend me his shoes already. Adi slide her feet into those shoes. They fit perfectly. "Thank you for the shoes. May I have your number or address so that I can return them?" He giggled "You think you can get my number that easily? I guess it is that easy! Give me your phone, so that I can key it in." Adi handed over her phone. When he was done, she looked at his name. "Tegoshi Yuya? Um, my name is Adi." He smiled brightly "Call me Ouji-sama! Adi is such a normal name. I shall call you.... ah! Chankapana!"

Chankapana??

Adi faltered. Underneath that pretty face, does this guy has a thick skull covering his empty brain? Still, this.. this... Ouji-sama was kind and... well, she should be grateful. She thanked him again, and turned to walk away. Until a Twilight poster caught her attention. She looked at it mournfully. Feeling a pair of eyes boring into her back, she turned back curiously and see that... that... Ouji-sama, still standing there, smiling at her brightly. She looked back to the poster, and back to him. Taking a deep breath, she blurted "Do you want to watch Twilight? Let me buy you a ticket, as a thank you gift."

That bright smile actually got brighter, however impossible it is for it to be."Thought you'll never ask! Let's go!"
