R e f e r e n c e.
One thing I've noticed while browsing around deviantArt and the personal websites of some artists that I admire , after drawing a certain number of characters for some time , said artist will develop a reference image(reference sheet if you will) for the character/characters. I would like to consider myself an artists , especially a developing one , so it was determined that I would try my hand at making said character reference sheet...
So let's see what we have here shall we? In the image we see a NAKED GIN OMG D:!!! I drew it for the anatomy practise and to show how pale she looks in my head. Then there's a small listing of her vital statistics and more importantly I've included , little , circular swatches that show the colours I always use for my favourite , heterochromic , introverted , gothic-lolita , punktastic anime girl! Then there's a couple of heads , I had intended to draw some at different angles...hey I could do that and post a link to said heads here , I win :D! All that is left is to ink and colour this and draw those heads. Please someone remind me on AIM or MSN to draw the heads before I forget D:!!! I must say , I am quite proud of my little circles and how they are outlined...elliptical marquee tool and the stroke layer style function , I love you both ♥!
If this is a success then more shall be made! One for Yasu , Tama , Cain and any other character that is given life on paper or any that have been neglected*is a bad creator , neglecting older characters D:*! Oh yeah , there's also all the older ragnarok fanart that begs to be coloured. Dammit! As much as I love chalking up all sorts of hours at my little WalMart job , I end up so tired that I just don't have the energy to sit in front of the computer working in photshop ;_;...but hopefully tomorrow I will finish something. And that my friends , is all the art for today.
