Pitch was quietly walking around a dark forest, a few miles away from the nearest inhabited area. It was only dusk, therefore he needed to wait a few hours before his usual nightmare distribution routine.
He wandered around the trees, his feet making no noise against the freshly fallen snow that was starting to freeze since the temperature was dropping. That night it would all turn into a beautiful glittery cover.
He was about to turn towards the village when a snowball hit his nape, making him shiver in cold.
-FROST!- he roared, quickly turning around.
The boy cracked up at the man’s reaction.
Pitch picked from a tree a handful of snow and pressed it into a ball before carefully aiming at Jack and hitting him right in his face.
-Hey!- the boy protested with a sly grin. -Don’t steal my job!-
-Too late, kid.- the Boogieman replied with a smirk, throwing another snowball at him before he could react.

Will came back home and was hit by the delicious aroma of his husband’s cuisine.
It was Thanksgiving, therefore he had expected to smell turkey, but instead he could only smell pumpkin. There were hints of spices, maybe a bit of fish, but definitely no meat.
He reached the kitchen, were Hannibal was busy sautéing something in a pan.
-Ah Will, welcome home.- he greeted him with a smile.
-Hi. No turkey?- the American asked.
-No.- the Doctor answered. -I thought that turkey was too ordinary for us, so I’m cooking something special.-
He paused to pour the stuff from his pan to a pot.
-Pumpkin tortellini with spicy cheese cream, black rice in pumpkin sauce, codfish filet with pumpkin cubes and crème brulé pumpkin chocolate cheesecake.- he recited his menu.
-Oh.- Will replied, a bit disappointed. He liked the traditional Thanksgiving turkey.
Hannibal looked straight into the other’s eyes.
He didn’t change expression, but Will knew he was hurt. He felt guilty.
-I bet it’ll all be delicious.- he muttered, looking away as soon as Hannibal’s smile brightened proudly.

-Today- Logan shouted as soon as he entered the classroom in which he had to teach Fighting Tactics. -I’m gonna teach you something completely different from the usual program.-
He reached his desk, slamming his hands on it and turning towards his students.
He looked around with a sly grin, studying the kids’ reactions.
At first, when he came in, they were chatting as usual, but now, after that announcement they were whispering to each other.
What did he plan that time?, they were asking. Hopefully not another survival training!, many wished.
-Today I’m gonna train you in something that could save your life in the future: teamwork.- he declared after a few moments, showing to his class a hockey puck.

Logan hated going to the beach, especially during summer break.
The place was full of noisy people who talked and laughed too loudly, who played with balls and marbles, and who just were annoyingly happy.
He hated the sand that somehow always managed to get everywhere, from between his toes to into his butt crack.
And not to mention the heat. Fuck, he hated it the most. He was Canadian, for fuck’s sake, he was made for cold weather.
He was starting to wonder why he even went there when ‘Ro and the Elf came out of the water.
He stared at their sexy bodies covered only by skimpy swimsuits, drops of water dripping from their hair on their shoulders, trailing down their toned muscles all the way to their feet.
They smiled and waved at him, inviting him to join them.
Right, he thought, that was the reason why he went to the beach. Who could resist such wonderful sight?

Ah, spring. What a wonderful season.
It’s the time of rebirth, when the plants wake up from their winter hibernation and start to grow again.
Flower buds bloom, leaves spring up from naked branches, grass sprouts up in the middle of snow piles.
Wonderful, isn’t it?
If only it wasn’t for a small, insignificant but yet crucial detail: the rise of the temperature.
Logan hates it. He hates the warmth in general, especially the fact that he’ll sweat like a pig -more than ever when he’ll wear his full body costume.
But there was one good thing about it, he thought. He could sleep on a tree’s branch whenever he wanted and without being disturbed. That is to say, if leaves were enough to hide him.

Logan sniffed the cold air of the Canadian Rocky Mountain’s forests. It was sharp and metallic because of the low temperature -a bit below zero Celsius degrees-, the freshly fallen snow covering every other odour.
But he could sense it: a pack of wolves.
He knew them -or at least he knew their great-great-great-grandparents. He had been part of that pack once, before becoming a man again.
He didn’t know exactly why he went all the way there again, alone and naked, running through the snow, but he felt it was the right thing to do. He had always had a strong connection to that particular piece of forest, maybe it was just the nature calling for him to join it back.
And, honestly, he kinda missed that freedom that only living with wolves gave him.
That was why as soon as he saw the pack he felt home.

Logan and Kurt were waiting on the front door, chatting. They had planned that day out for months.
Ororo managed to persuade them to bring her on a picnic and, honestly, how could anyone say no to a goddess?
Wolverine was holding a cool box full of beers in one hand and another one full of food in the other, while Kurt was carrying a sheet and plastic tableware in a bag on his shoulders.
They were dressed casually: shorts and T-shirts. Logan also had his loyal cowboy hat on his head.
-Sorry, I’m late!- she apologised as soon as she walked out of the school.
She was wearing sandals and an airy white dress, similar to the one that Marilyn Monroe wore in The Seven Year Itch.
Both men needed a moment of pure awe, looking at her up and down.
-Honestly, Liebchen, you could have us wait as long as you want if you then join us like this.- Kurt replied, smiling charmingly.
-Yeah, ‘Ro, we’re happy to wait for such a stunning sight.- Logan added, making the other man nod.
Ororo laughed, hugging them both and kissing them.
-I love you.- she said before letting them go. -Now, let’s find a nice place for our date!-
She walked past them, letting them follow her strut like loyal dogs.

Ah, spring. Yukimura loved it. Of course, being a plant lover he loved the season during which they awakened after their long winter sleep.
That morning in particular he was in good spirits. The Rikkai Dai Fuzoku Chuu’s cherry trees had bloomed and filled the air with their perfume.
He walked inside smiling, reaching for the tennis club’s locker room in order to change from his school uniform to his tennis outfit.
He wasn’t the first one to get in, his vice-captain was already there. He missed the sight of him changing for just a few moments since he hadn’t put his hat on yet.
-Good morning, Seiichi.- Sanada greeted him.
-Good morning, Genichirou.- the captain answered with a sweet smile.
Then he kissed the other boy on the cheek, making him blush tremendously.

-Senpai, are you sure you absolutely need this plant?-
Kaidoh cursed himself for being too polite to say no to a favour asked by a senpai. Especially by Inui.
-One hundred percent sure.- the other answered. -It’s essential for my research.-
They were in a park, near a pond were ducks lived, knee deep in mud.
Kaidoh was sure he would need more than a bath to remove the stench from himself.
He sighed, bowing again to study the water plants’ leaves to find the right one.
He was so focused on one leaf that looked like the one he was shown on a picture that he didn’t notice that Inui had reached him and was looking at it from over his shoulder.
-Good job, Kaidoh.- the senpai whispered in his ear.
He gently placed a hand on the other’s shoulder to prevent him from jumping in surprise -there was a ninety-five percent chance he would- and picked up the plant with his other hand.
Kaidoh blushed horribly and nodded, hoping that his senpai didn’t notice that he shivered when he whispered in his ear so sensually.

Kawamura was putting a sheet on the grass.
Fuji smiled, admiring his boyfriend’s strong arms. He knew his Taka-san was still shy about their relationship -he was so adorable when he was trying not to make him notice it- and that he was embarrassed by physical contact in places where they could be seen, but Fuji wanted so much to picnic with him.
So they had found a compromise: a hidden spot in the park, behind bushes and under a tree, where no one could see them.
Obviously, Taka-san had been the one who brought food. He pulled out of his bag some onigiri, water and fruit juice, and a few cookies. Fuji had no doubts he prepared everything by himself.
-I made yours with wasabi.- Kawamura said, pointing at the triangular onigiri.
-You’re the best.- Fuji replied with a smile, hugging his boyfriend’s neck and kissing him lightly on the lips.

The school year had just began, like the spring.
Seishun Gakuen had opened their gates to many new students, some of which that chose the school because its tennis club incredibly won the national’s tournament the previous year, therefore the club was full of new members.
The new captain had just come inside the locker room to change for morning practice when his vice-captain walked in.
-Hey, mamushi! Are you ready?- he teased the other.
-Don’t call me that, idiot!- Kaidoh growled.
He threw his t-shirt on a bench, reaching Momoshiro to grab his shirt’s neck, looking angrily straight into his eyes.
Then all the sexual tension that accumulated between them in those last two years melted into a hot kiss.

-What is the meaning of this?- Tezuka asked with a frown.
-Why, my dear Tezuka, this is my -late, I admit- way to apologize for injuring your arm.- Atobe answered with a sly smile.
-It has been three years.- Kunimitsu replied.
-Well, I did say it was late, didn’t I?- the King’s smile widened.
-You know you don’t need this kind of excuses to invite me home? We’re dating.- Tezuka let out a sigh.
-Oh but you love when I surprise you like this.- Atobe chuckled.
He was wearing only furry slippers and a fluffy bathrobe, left half open on purpose to tempt his boyfriend.
The room in which he invited Tezuka was a simple library with armchairs in front of a big fireplace. On a table between the chairs there was a tray with two cups of hot chocolate. From a big window Tezuka could see the snow falling down.
-Merry Christmas, my love.- Atobe said, managing to make Tezuka’s stoic expression falter.

Ah, winter, his favourite time of the year. Finally he doesn’t have to face the heat for a few months.
Logan hummed pleased, walking around the snowy garden of the Xavier’s Institute for Gifted Youngsters wearing only light jeans and a t-shirt.
-Aren’t you cold?- Kurt once asked him.
-Cold is a relative concept, Elf.- he answered. -I’m Canadian, this temperature for me is spring.-
He chuckled when his best friend shivered.
-I don’t ever want to know what “cold” means to you”- he replied before wrapping a scarf around his neck.
It’s been years, but the new students always look at him like he’s mad when they see him going around half naked in the snow.
And it will never stop to amuse him.
