At some point after the holidays, I'm planning on attempting "
A cardigan for Arwen" from the latest Interweave Knits, but I wanted to buy the yarn now (I'll be using Cascade 220) so I measured myself last night and my bust measurement came out to 46". In the magazine, that falls near 2 sizes, 45 3/4" and 49". In the notes she says that this sweater is meant to fit loosely, so if you're in-between sizes, make the larger size...but doesn't an extra 4" seem like a lot of extra room?
To further complicate things, I'm 7 months pregnant, and I have no idea what my bust size will be after the baby is born. I know my chest has gotten a couple sizes larger since getting pregnant, but I don't know if it shrinks back down to size afterwards, or if I can expect them to get even bigger (please god no) since I'll be breastfeeding...So, if I measure 46" now, I don't know if I should go ahead and make the 45 3/4" size in anticipation of getting smaller once the baby is born and I'm done breastfeeding, or if I should make the bigger size just in case, and deal with it being really loose when I lose weight later...I've also never worked with Cascade so I don't know if I can expect it to grow with washing/blocking?
Any advice?
