1. I knew going in that it was inspired by a viking sagas, but I realized while watching how many other things were inspired by either this set of operas, or the original sagas. The Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Sleeping Beauty...

I've had a spinning wheel for a number of years now, and since I got it I've thought I needed to paint at least one side of the wheel.  When I got my wheel it had been ill used by some kids. there were a couple of deep gouges on the side of the wheel I can see as I spin, as well as some brown crayon.

Some of you may have seen this shawl when the knitting was done, but lace isn't truly finished until it's been blocked.

I give you my Grape Nebulae.   I know... It's not very purple, but the color name is Rubber Grapes, and I like it.

This is my 5th finished shawl of the year, and my 4th handspun shawl of the year.

It's not life threatening or anything like that.

I just ran out of yarn for a shawl I'm working on, and I don't know what to do.  It's not like I can go buy more.  I spun this and I ran out a row from were I thought I could reasonably cut the pattern short.

My options are:

Some of you may have noticed a lack of knitting content here for the last month.

That's because I was participating in the Tour de Fleece. It happens at the same time as the Tour de France, but you don't have to do anything but spin.

Since both Tours ended yesterday, I thought I'd share what yarns I finished.
