Knitted Yule was going along fine…
knittedpippin was hanging our modest stockings up over the fireplace
although he had a bit of trouble getting them to hang really high and was worried that Father Christmas might not see them. But then
knittedpippin thought up a Brilliant Plan!
We could give each other as Yule Presents! Then when Father Christmas turns up we'll tell him we already got everything we want.
Only after a while,
knittedpippin got lonely in his stocking and wanted to get into mine.
Which was very cosy and nice, except we fell asleep and missed Father Christmas altogether!
But he left us lots of presents anyway! Under the tree - so that was nice! KnittedYule was being very satisfactory.
Apart from many exciting gifts from my multitudes of fans (thank you all) I got a choklit machine, which was good, as
knittedpippin has to put pennies in it to get my choklit out! Except that he found my Very Secret Hoard of mithril pennies from Angie and started using those! Really
knittedpippin!
And
knittedpippin got a remote control car, but he said it was quicker to just push it along, as then he knew where it was and it wouldn't get too lonely. Although I think he just broke it!
But then he just played with the box, so that was all right!
I, of course, had the most Magnificent Present! A real motorbicycle! It's called the KnittedMerryMachine and it's all Mine!
I was quite happy riding round the house for a practice.
llinos kept suggesting, non too politely I might add, that I take it outside! She obviously doesn't understand that it is a bit chilly out there and not as much fun as doing wheelies on the carpets!
But just as I was really getting going and having a nice time there was an unexpected ring on the doorbell! Who in Middle-earth could be calling at KnittedYuleTyde?
I put my KnittedMerryMachine away and tentatively answered the door!
Hobbits! Two Hobbits!
And Knitted by the look of them!
"For goodness sake!" The first KnittedHobbit said, "Let us in KnittedMerry or we'll freeze if we don't starve first!"
So I had to let them in, I suppose.
knittedpippin took their cloaks and I did a routine basket check, just to be on the safeside.
Can you imagine my horror surprise when, as I quickly verified their luggage was HobbitFriendly, they said the rest of their luggage was outside!
Now I'm seriously thinking of sending these visitors home tied up in one of their own suitcases!
How long do they think they are staying for?
knittedpippin is of course, always pleased to see visitors, but I have a nasty feeling these particular relatives may just outstay their welcome.
So would you LJReader, if you knew who they were! Can you guess? Sigh! Answers in three words or less.
