receptionists at hospitals should be shot

...mainly those who work at new england medical center.

i was supposed to find out when i start interferon tuesday last week when i went to the doctor in boston. he didn't know i was told i could be treated in plymouth. said he'd call to find me a doctor. get the number friday. can't call because it is a holiday. great. call yesterday. and go between phone calls to plymouth and boston all afternoon trying to get one office to communicate with the other. grr. finally they told me they would call when they got what they needed in plymouth and schedule an appointment. call today because no one called me back yesterday, and plymouth didn't know who i was or why i was calling. wtf?! anger.

(please note if i want to call boston, i either have to call my mom at work to call because i have a long distance block on my phone, or go to my employer and use the phone there. grr.)

so i have the number for my medical records to be released to plymouth from boston. i go to work to call. they faxed me a form to fill out and sign. and i brought it straight to jordan hospital in plymouth. fuck all you idiots. you can shoo me away so easy if i am not just another phone call.

i got what i wanted by showing up there, and they actually turned out to be extremely helpful once i was there. but damnit, this is frustrating sometimes.

if plymouth gets my medical records tomorrow, i have an appointment thursday the sixteenth. if not, i have an appointment wednesday the twenty second. as in the day before thanksgiving. lets just hope i get in this week. grr. i will find out when i start interferon as soon as i meet with the doctor in plymouth.

this post stinks.
so does being "sick."
grr.
