Well, I have a job after next month. In this state, that's good news.
I've watched countless shows about cold cases that weren't closed due to some miracle. I hate cops more than ever, and I'll never move to Florida (as if I needed motivation, I've been there.)
Other than that, three movies came out that I'm desperately interested in, and Avatar earned more money than all of them combined. I hate James Cameron. I'll give him the first two Terminators and True Lies. Everything else he ever did was shit. Especially Titanic. Any movie that hinged on its audience's lack of historical context is automatically the worst thing ever. I have not, and will never see Titanic, but the fact that I was at the receiving end of more than a little physical violence upon revealing that, ultimately, the boat sinks in the end, is more than enough.
The lesson seems to be that Cameron can't make a movie without Schwarzenegger. Or, even more possibly, Arnold Schwarzenegger is the only reason to watch any given Cameron movie. Anyways James Cameron sucks. And that's not arguable.
Trying to defend James Cameron is like trying to say Keanu Reeves is more expressive than a 2x4. James Cameron is to movies what Creationism is to reality. It's a creative diversion that entertains a majority, yet has no lasting existence.
There's no way that Avatar won't suck. Unless Michelle Rodriguez gets naked, which I could both stand to see and probably wouldn't avoid. But that would probably ruin the whole PG-13 thing. So I don't think that's it.
Anyways, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, Sherlock Holmes, and Up in the Air all came out the same day. I want to see all of them. Go fuck yourself if you don't.
