What Lee Ang brought home.

Some thoughts crystalizes...

Sometimes... little things u do for ur loved ones, in an effort to make them happy comes in vain. Sometimes, you really make a thought into packaging little facts and information into a way that will make them see u in the most appropriate light.
But when you accidentally show the underlyings unpolished unpackaged facts, they just freak out.

To some guys, packaging is like second nature.. censorship is built in. I'm still learning the ropes.

A guy nicely dressed obviously looks more attractive than the same guy shabbily dressed.
A well packaged fact will seem more appealing than unpolished truths..

I wish sometimes people can see beyond the unpolished truths, into the real motivation and intentions behind these actions.

Like the way Lee Ang put it about his movies - that he doesn't care how people viewed his movies, as long as they can see beyond the surface into the depths; the essence of the human spirit so earnestly potrayed.

When interviewed by the Taiwanese press, he mentioned that it was only after the success of BrokeBack that rekindled critics' interests in his older works. The press and critics start to relook at the less famous works like the'Ice Storm', 'The Hulk' and other less successful works, and reanalysed the deeper issues that he looked at, and hail the way he felt and reappropriated the more humanistic sides of things in these films; the conflicts, the imperfections, the love, the emotions. And he reiterated that it has always been the kind of movies he has been making... to make us feel, to be in touch with our souls, rather than just pampering our senses.

Its constant reminder of how I should live oso. forget about the eyes, nose, mouth, skin, use wat's inside to Feel, always. ;0)

As Lee Ang appropriately put it - If one becomes so harden inside, you as good as dead!
