Happy 4th Anniversary Super Junior!
It's hard to believe it's only been 4 years since these guys debuted. While I'm not always proud to call myself an ELF, that's never because of the SJ boys, but because of fan politics.
It's been a few years since I got into Super Junior and when I first got wind of these guys my reaction was something like: '....there are 12 of them?.....bahahaha'. By the time Kyuhyun was added and they were made 13 I didn't even notice that they were a ridiculously huge band. When SJ brings out a new MV or song and I'm hysterically spazzing, I'll send videos to my friends and they often comment on how wierd it is to see 13 guys on one little YouTube screen. I think it just makes re-watching fun cause you always spot something new.
I think if there's a group that's been through the most out of all the K-pop bands, It's Super Junior (although lately 2pm and DBSK have started giving them a run for there money). From stressing out about being split up, to all the fan fuss after Kyuhyun and Henry and Zhoumi were added, to Heechul's and then Kyuhyun's car accident's, family deaths, language barriers, tough schedules, Kangin's recent problems, the list goes on and on, they prove that the job of being a boyband member is one of the toughest ones out there.
I hope that the 15 of them can shine together for many years to come. At this point, it seems like they've only got time for one more album before compulsery military service splits them up, but something as small as that won't keep them down for long. Super Junior the band: as 13 may come to an end, but Super Junior the family: as 15, has got quite a few years left in it. I just hope they go out with a bang next year when I'm there to see it!
