Catch Up
The volume of my ramblings has not been nearly as impressive as I'd hoped, so I need to fill in the "how are you going?" kind of life-updates for my own sanity. :)
I am okay. After state was finished, we had one week until we went to Florida. After that week, I had a week of being sick and miserable. After that week, I had the "omg, my show opens on Saturday" kind of week, full of space, tech and dress rehearsals, and also a small bit of Les Mis, as they hadn't struck their set before we began setting up ours.
In my mind, I play "little Cosette" fantastically at my current age, just so you know.
So the PDC show opened on Saturday. Opening night when eerily well, no big problems. Sunday was a matinee showing, and we sold out, which was fantastic. Since then, I have managed to choreograph and teach an audition routine for a Blazer Dancer hopeful, re-decide to teach for a living, and get to 70 pages on the Big NRI Fic of Death (exclamation point). The show picks back up tomorrow (Thursday) and we close on Friday, cast party Saturday.
That's pretty much been my life since I've checked in with you peeps. It's still raining, I'm still writing SLOWLY, and life is .... good-ish. It'll get better. It always does. :D
