Happy Epiphany!

Jan 06, 2007 19:20

So, Christmas is officially over, and we're celebrating the Feast of Epiphany with the availability of gâteau des Rois in New Orleans. People are taking down their lights and decorations, and they're finally almost over their New Years hangovers. Huzzah!

Twelfth Night was spent in subdued celebration of moonandserpent's birth. Congratulations to him on being just one year shy of his third decade on this fine planet of ours.

I, meanwhile, have been celebrating the visit of the Magi by trying to put my copious amounts of paperwork in some sort of order. I've spent the larger portion of the day on this task, since I'd ideally like to have everything ready for the tax season once my W-2 arrives. After all, I have a $1,575 tax credit this year (as you can see here), which might actually defray my recently increased excise tax. ...and I'd like to get that sooner, rather than later.

Otherwise, this weekend appears to be one of cleaning up the house and gearing up to finish off some old projects, such as the scarf for my aunt that should have been done ... oh ... about twelve days ago. (Well, sooner, since there was the shipping time to account for, but you know what I mean.)

What have my friends out in LJ-land been up to today?

mundanity, religion
